1: Eat nutritious foods.

A healthy and balanced diet is the basis of well-being. However, a healthy diet is often seen primarily as a means to lose weight. According to the 2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, optimal energy requires a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, low-fat dairy products, and whole grains. You are what you eat. Eat a variety of foods from all food groups to get a range of nutrients that will give you energy throughout the day. Choose fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables, especially nutrient-dense dark leafy greens and broccoli, as well as orange-colored vegetables like carrots and sweet potatoes. If you're looking for healthy protein options, there are many types of fish and legumes to choose from. Try to eat 3 ounces of whole grains, bread, rice, or pasta every day.

2. Sleep seven to eight hours a day.

Prioritizing sleep is one of the best things you can do to prepare for an energetic and successful day. Lack of sleep can lead to serious health problems and negatively impact mood, motivation, and energy. Sleeping well is a healthy habit that many people need to develop. 3. Be surrounded by good people.

Maximize the time you spend with people you enjoy being with. Connecting with other people who exude positivity and share the same interests will inspire you and give you the energy you already know. On the other hand, people you don't have contact with or who have a negative attitude, complain often, or make bad decisions will only increase your energy bill. Be selective when choosing your company. It's important to set boundaries to protect yourself and conserve energy when around people who don't replenish your energy reserves.

4. Avoid overdosing on news.

Checking the news is an important way to stay up to date with world events. It can be educational, entertaining, and even uplifting. Unfortunately, stories of suffering appear all too often in the media. These stories can distort your view of the world and cause you to focus on your worst fears instead of seeing the good around you. Maintaining a compassionate attitude is another way to conserve energy. An example of practicing this mindset is loving attention.
