Finding high-quality images, I believe, is super essential for graphic design and pretty much anyone involved in creative work, but as you know, it's quite a pain in finding them.
So, today I want to share with you various great websites that offer you access to tons of free stock images up to 4k resolution that you can use for your blogs, websites, and videos. The great thing is that these sites fall under the Public domain, which means that anyone can use their photos for any purpose without any restriction or copyright laws, nor you have to sign up!
Although it would be nice to provide attributions, you are not required. So, let's take a look at the list;-
1)Unsplash.com
First up, we'll start with Unsplash, which is the only well-known site that provides stock photos without any cost. They provide an outsized library of more than 1,000,000 curated photos donated by talented photographers around the world. Not to forget, their images are one of the best in terms of high resolution and high quality.
Another thing I like about this site is that themes sort images. Also, most of the published photos on this site are released for free under the Unsplash license. Just a friendly reminder, before using any stock photo from this website or any other website, it is best to read over their license to see how their images can be used.
2)Pixabay.com
Pixabay is one of my favorite sites that I will highly recommend to any freelancer looking for high resolution, royalty-free images. It comes with the most extensive collection of high-quality free stock photos, so you're likely to find what you are looking for. They're also a useful resource for HD and 4k videos, which might be quite helpful if you need a b-roll for your YouTube videos.
To download any image, click on the image you want to download select the size, and click download. After human verification, the download will start.
3)Stocksnap.io
Third on the list is a website with an extensive collection of free stock photos and high-resolution images with hundreds added daily, and that is stocksnap.io. It's almost similar to pIxels.com.
On this website, you can sort images on a date, trend, and number of downloads. You can also sign up for their weekly newsletter and get photos weekly in your mail. I recommend that you check out this website as it has many beautiful free stock photos that you can use on your project.
Additionally, all photos on stock snap are made available under the Creative Commons CC0 license, which means the public has the right to use, share, and modifies creators' work.
4)Pexels.com
Pexels has only been around since 2015 but became quite popular in a short time. This website offers an extensive collection of free high-quality stock for us. They provide thousands of handpicked images from photos uploaded by their users or sourced from other free image websites. On this website, you won't only get an extensive collection of free stock photos but also vectors and ad illustrations, including videos. If you are into video editing, this is one great website to check out.
You can also adjust the size before you wish to download any photo, which is one of the many reasons for its popularity. One thing that I like about Pexels is that every single day we will be getting 100 new high-quality photos that are just simply amazing.
5)Freestock.com
Freestock.com is one of the best websites you can use to find high-quality stock photos for your projects. You will find here images related to travel nature wallpapers, textures, and so on. You can find and download photos in a relatively direct and straightforward way; all you have to do is open it up to download it. You can then use these images in your blogs. Websites and videos.
6)Negative space.co
Sixth on the list is a website that provides you 20 new photos every week, which is a negative space.co. It is a great website that you can use to find beautifully captured free stock photos with high quality for your online work. I like this website because you can filter images based on categories, so it won't take you long to find what you are looking for.
7)Lifeofpix.com
Created by the Leroy ad agency in Montreal may be an excellent resource for the most stunning, high-resolution photos that you will ever find. With such a large amount of unique images, Life of pix should be on your list when gathering new photos.
They also have another site called the Life of vids, which is worth checking if you are looking for high-resolution free stock videos or short clips. The content provided on either side falls under Creative Commons CC0 and thus doesn't have any copyright restrictions.
