But did you know that the story in Bahubali cinema was not entirely new? Most people think that Bahubali is an independent and very new story. Still, if you look at it a little closer, you will realize that Bahubali is inspired by many things in our Indian history or Indian mythology.  What are those things?  Most of the film seems to have been made by mixing Ramayana and Mahabharata.

The birth of Lord Krishna and the birth of Bahubali

When Lord Krishna's life was in danger from Kansa when he was born, Vasudevan had taken Lord Krishna across the river Yamuna in a basket.  In Bahubali,, something similar happens to Shiva's life as he is in danger from Bhallaldev, so Shivagamini takes him out of the river as Vasudev did with Krishna.

 Kaurav Pandava and Bahubali Bhallaldev

Even in the Mahabharata, there was a power struggle between Cousins the Kauravas and the Pandavas.  Here too, there is a conflict between cousins Bahubali and Bhallaldev.

Kaurava's disabled father and Bhallaldeva's disabled father

Dhritarashtra, the father of Duryodhana and 100 Kauravas, was blind there, while Bhallaldev's father was disabled.  But the love of both of them is inseparable.  They both want their son to be king. And yes, both manage to do so. Duryodhana and Bhallaldeva both have kings for some time.

Exile of Ram Sita and exile of Bahubali Dev Sena here

In the Ramayana, Rama and Sita had to go into exile for fourteen years.  There is a similar exile picture in the second part of the Bahubali movie where Dev Sena and Bahubali have to leave the state and live a normal life.

Lord Krishna and Shiva's two mothers

Yashoda and Devaki were the two mothers of Lord Krishna; the same Shiva also has two mothers. which are Devsana and Sanga. one mother gives birth, and another mother takes care of him. so that part also looks like taken from Indian mythology

If you find anything else in your Indian history or mythology, be sure to mention it in the comments.
