About 13000 years ago, these pieces of rocks reached the Allan Hills regions of Antarctica and were found buried inside the ice. And in 1984, this meteorite was discovered and named ALH84001. For many years a large number of people worked on this project to know the history of the meteorite that we have just referred to above.
For some years a team of NASA suggested that there seemed to be signs of may have existed all this rock in some bygone time. This kind of meteorite is some organic molecules of the same family as Naphthalene.when this kind of bacteria decay such compounds are produced. Many meteorites do have such kind of compound. The meteorite has iron oxide of the sort, which some bacteria on earth contain. It has iron sulfide which is produced by some anaerobic bacteria. This kind of bacteria does not use oxygen.some of the balls of carbonate materials are found in this kind of meteorite, which may be formed by some materials. And this may be formed by some living thing. On the other hand, almost all the bacteria found on earth are a hundred times larger than these materials. The meteorite may also contain very small size fossils.
About in 1961, another meteorite was found to have signs of life. But after some researches, it was found to be discovered to be pollen grain and particles of ash. This research turned the sign of life out tobe from the earth itself. And this case could be Antarctic meteorite too. Some of the reason make scientist more hopeful is there some of these items which mentioned are within cracks. And this type of cracks could only have been formed before them meteorite came into the rest of Antarctica. So it may be the full proof signs of bacterial life. That we see is from when the rocks were on Mars. In about 1976 the Viking spacecraft failed to find any such bacteria on Mars. But on the other way it may be, they landed in the lifeless part of Mars. Or it might be bacteria was present on Mars millions of years ago. But aren't there now. So scientists are looking and searching the meteorite name ALH84001.very very carefully. These researches make scientists do more work on the Mars operation.
