The circuit is a board that contains all types of electronic components that, when assembled, will help work any electronic devices like Tv, phone, satellites, or any such devices that need a circuit to operate.
Like any substance is made up of small particles called atoms. Similarly, circuits are made up of many small components that together make up a complete circuit.
Here is the list of all the components of electric circuits:-
1. Transistor
The transistor is an active component in a circuit that is made up of a semiconductor called silicon. Transistors can perform functions like on and off; hence it is one of the most important electronic components in a circuit board.
Every electronic circuit contains atleast one transistor. A computer processor contains more than 6 billion transistors. Every electronic device works in terms of 1 and 0, and transistor can only do that, so it has become one of the most important components.
. A transistor is the main important component for constructing any digital circuit; without a transistor, no electronic device can function. . There are various types of transistors like MOSFET, NPN, PNP, IGBT, and many more.
2. Resistor
A resistor is basically a passive component whose main function is to resist the flow of excess current and the voltage to circuit and component. Hence a resistor protects the circuit from overload and shortcircuit.
A resistor is made up of different types of material according to the need. The most used resistor is a carbon composition resistor. Without a resistor, a circuit is totally incomplete, sot it plays an important in the proper functioning of a circuit.
3. Capacitor
A capacitor can also be referred to as a battery as it also stores charges and gets discharged quickly after releasing those charges. A capacitor is used in cameras for flashlights and many other electronic devices.
There are different types of capacitors for different functions like ceramic capacitors, electrolytic capacitors, foil capacitors, and many more. The most used capacitor is an electrolytic capacitor.
4. Transformer
Transformers are of two types step-up transformer and a step-down transformer. Both transformers are used. Step-up transformers are used when there is a need to convert low voltage to high voltage, and step-down is used to convert high voltage to low voltage.
Transformers are mainly made up of copper or aluminum metals. These metals are made into wire and wound around the ferrite core.
5. Diode
A diode is also an active component as it performs various functions like rectification, amplification, and many more other functions. A diode is made up of semiconductor materials like silicon and germanium. A diode can convert an AC into DC.
A diode is also the most important component of an electric circuit. A diode has two terminals, one anode, and the other cathode. The anode is positive, and the cathode is negative.
These are the list of the top 5 most important components of any circuit. These components are found in every circuit though it is a simple circuit or an advanced circuit.
