Top 5 Shocking facts about human body

How much do you know about your body? We see different activities and processes performed by our bodies, but some are still mysterious and unknown. This process occurs in our body but is not visible.

Some of the activities performed by our body are known to us, but we still don't know the reason behind them, for example, shivering our body during the winter season, yawning, Snoring, blinking of the eyes, etc.

Here we will discuss all those known and unknown conditions of our body that we are still unaware of.

1_The emission of light by the human body

Are you surprised to know that your body emitted light? Yes, this is true, but this light is not visible to anyone because the range of light emitted by our body is a thousand times weaker than the standard vision range of our eyes. This process is called bioluminescent.

The emission of light occurs due to the chemical reactions occurring in our body cells. This phenomenon was first detected by Japanese scientists in 2009. They also observed that most of the light density is emitted by our face, especially the cheeks and forehead area.

2_Synesthesia

Have you ever seen the smell and heard the colors? doesn't it sound fool or impossible? But yes, this is also the truth. This process is called synesthesia. It is a condition in which, at a time, two senses are perceived. This condition is rare for every 25 thousand human beings. Only one person suffers from synesthesia, and the person is called synesthetes.

3_Why do we Yawn when we are sleepy?

Yawning is always considered a sign of being sleepy but do you know why do we yawn? Yawning is due to the high temperature of our brain.

As we all know that our brain uses 20% of our body's energy. When we continuously use our brain while working, then our brain temperature rises. To control this high temperature, Our brain needs fresh oxygen and blood. When we yawn and open our full mouths, a high amount of fresh oxygen enters our blood vessels. This new air also cools down the blood temperature.

4_Shivering of the body during the winter season

Shivering is an ordinary condition experienced by every human being, But do you know why our body shivers during the winter season?

The Normal temperature of the human body is 37 degrees Celsius which is control by a part of the brain called the hypothalamus.

During the winter season, when the temperature is low outside, our body temperature also starts decreasing. The hypothalamus detects this decrease of temperature, and then the Hypothalamus rapidly sends a signal to our body's muscles to start contracting. This rapid contraction and relaxation of muscles produce heat. Due to this heat, Our body temperature is maintained.

5_Blinking of the eyes

Why do we blink our eyes? Blinking is a healthy process for the eyes, and we do not control it. Blinking helps the eyes spread water, oil, and mucus, which remove dust and other harmful particles.

We weblink our eyes about 15 to 20 times within one minute and in a year about a 7.1million times. The human eye can detect 10 million colors and 70% of our body's sensors are present in the eyes.
