Top 10 sports video game of all time

There have been hundreds of video game games over the years on the digital network. But the advent of games did not always mean better games. The game has a flashier interface and better graphics, but it doesn't make for great gameplay. That's why many PS2 and Xbox games are designed to sit in discount barrels at your local sports shop, while classics like NHL '94 and Tecmo Super Bowl continue to be a concern for sports fans. Here are my Top 10 always:

1. Jordan vs. Bird (NES) -

Was the individual game so good? No, it is not. But the game started with a three-point contest and a slam dunk race long before it appeared elsewhere. Only in that, should you place in the Top 10.

2. Madden 2005 (PS2, Xbox, GC) -

Jumping from -04 to -55 was HUGE. The55 introduced a hit-stick control with a defensive playing player to bring the defensive power to the level of offense. Franchise mode is almost like '04, but that's not really a bad thing. The thing I love about doing is building a team from scratch. I love taking the worst team in the league and making them stronger. You can move them to a new city, build a new stadium, and list real college players from NCAA '05. All in all, I loved this game more than any other Madden. 2006 did not improve enough in the game.

3. Punch-Out (NES) - which child born in the late 70s or early 80s did not spend many hours trying to beat Tyson with a Little Mac?

4. Madden '94 (Genesis, SNES) -

Based on memory, the game was amazing. I remember being able to play with all the NFL teams and the old team team. It was one of my favorite sports games growing up. That said, I've played it recently, and it's ridiculous. It can't even get close enough to hold its own against the Tecmo Super Bowl. Passing is pointless, and running consists of repeatedly hitting the spin button while tacklers hit your runner. This is high simply because I remember enjoying it when I was younger.

5. NBA Live '95 (Genesis, SNES) -

This game may not have been realistic, but it was crazy to run down the court, shoot three and throw alley-oops. EA was the first NBA game with all the teams, and every stadium also got its points. Needless to say, this was the first game with a 3/4 angle camera.

6. NFL Blitz (Arcade) -

NBA Jam type of football. Quick scoring, late batting, and crazy rules such as throwing several passes behind the line of scrimmage make this game great. The arcade version was much better than the PS or N64 versions.

7. NBA Jam (Arcade) -

I played a ton of NBA Jam between arcade and console versions. He’s one of the most unique games ever. Who has not been pleased to strike a chord with the people or to strike three times after the fire? This game has moved. The best part is getting all the codes and playing mascots with Bill Clinton.

8. Little League Baseball (NES)

- I don’t know why this game doesn’t get as much attention as one of the best NES sports games. The game is the best in any NES baseball game - throwing, hitting, and throwing are all easy and it makes sense. Also, there is something fun and different about playing with little leaguers. To my knowledge, it is the only small league game ever, although I may be wrong. To add to the excitement, some teams are much better than others. Want a challenge? Try to win the tournament against Italy, the worst team in the game. The duplicate value of LLB is unbelievable; I still play it to this day.

9. NHL '94 (Genesis, SNES)

- I love today's NHL games as the next guy, but this game is so much better. I still play it ALL the time. The level of play is very good. Get rid of simple wrap-ups, and the game is real, especially considering how old the game is. Oh, and for the record, they play NHL '93 in Swingers but talk about the removal of war on NHL '94. You’re weird huh?

10. Tecmo Super Bowl (NES)

- The game was far from over - organized playbooks and long-distance tracking were fun at the time. The gameplay is far from realistic but surprisingly similar. For that reason, the game is still popular, and there are tons of people still playing in online leagues. The advent of emulators has allowed for roster arrangements - I have played game modes with the latest logs as of 2004. Little quirks are as bizarre as Bo Jackson in that it is impossible to stop them, they roam everywhere, choosing defensive games by predicting offensive play, passing 100 yards, etc., making the game more fun. This game will never wear out.
