It’s no surprise that the top 10 best bowlers in the world of cricket are almost always also the top 10 best overall cricketers in the world. A bowler in cricket plays as much as anyone, and therefore you have to be extremely talented to even make it onto this list of the top 10 best bowlers in the world of cricket. 1) Dale Steyn

South African fast bowler Dale Steyn is one of cricket’s best fast bowlers. He has excellent control over his deliveries and is able to change pace at will, whether he’s bowling a bouncer or a gentle ball. Steyn bowls a good line as well as moving it away from right-hand batsmen, which makes him a handful for every team he faces.

2) Stuart Broad

Broad is a member of England's test, ODI and T20I squads. He played as part of England's Twenty20 squad that won 2010 ICC World Twenty20. Broad is known for his nagging line and length. His best bowling figures are 7/27 against Australia at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on 30 August 2015, which included three wickets in four balls. This was Broad's sixth five-wicket haul in Tests and he became only the third English bowler to take five wickets with consecutive deliveries.

3) James Anderson

James Anderson is one of three bowlers with more than 400 wickets in Test cricket. He also leads England’s all-time wicket list and is ranked fifth overall. With his ability to swing and seam, he has proved a formidable opponent for all batsmen around the world. He played his first Test match against India at Nagpur, taking six wickets on debut.

4) Mohammad Amir

Mohammad Amir is an international Pakistani cricketer. He is a right-arm fast bowler and left-handed batsman. His bowling action has been compared to that of Brett Lee, while his batting ability has drawn comparisons with Kevin Pietersen and Virender Sehwag.

5) Kemar Roach

Roach is a Jamaican cricketer who bowls outswing and sometimes switches to leg break. He took his first test wicket when he was just 17 years old, against New Zealand at his home ground, and he scored a century on debut. In 2015, Roach made his mark as one of world cricket’s fastest bowlers when he clocked an impressive 160.2 km/h (99.9 mph) in a test match against Australia.

6) Ravichandran Ashwin

Ravichandran Ashwin is an Indian international cricketer and a former ODI captain. He is a left-arm spinner and batsman. Ravichandran has become one of India’s most successful spin bowlers. His variations and his constant search for new ways to get batsmen out have contributed to his recent success.

7) Rangana Herath

Top-class left-arm spinner and a fantastic performer, Herath doesn’t go for too many runs. He took 87 wickets at an average of 25 during 2015 ICC World Cup 2015 and became one of five bowlers to win two Man of The Match awards in a single edition. In December 2017, he became only second Sri Lankan bowler after Muttiah Muralitharan to take 500 ODI wickets.

8) Imran Tahir

Imran Tahir (born 24 October 1978) is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for South Africa. A left-arm orthodox spinner, he is known for his unorthodox and extravagant bowling action, which resulted in his selection as One of Wisden's Cricketers of the Year on its 2013 Almanack edition. He bowls with a run-up to the wicket, sometimes skipping and hopping during it.

9) Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is an Indian cricketer who plays for India, and plays domestic cricket for Uttar Pradesh. He bowls right-arm fast medium and has represented India since October 2012. He is also a very effective lower order batsman, and can score brisk runs down towards fine leg on either side of his wicket. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is one of few bowlers with no nerves whatsoever when bowling against top teams, be it India or Australia.

10) Morne Morkel

South African Morne Morkel is one of the greatest left-arm fast bowlers in world cricket. He has taken more than 250 international wickets at an impressive average of under 30 runs per wicket, with a strike rate around 50. At 6'4 and 136 kilograms, Morkel is a force to be reckoned with; he was named Man-of-the-Match for his performance against Australia at Johannesburg during 2010 ICC World Twenty20 Championship tournament.
