DGHS reports 3 more coronavirus deaths,35 test positive in 24 hrs in Bangladesh.

The Covid-19 virus has already spread over in Bangladesh.

Today, the total death toll has risen to 12 in Bangladesh with three others. One of the dead is the ACC"s director, and two are from Narayangonj.

The daily testing rate remained below 100 per day till March 25, a day before the government imposed a shutdown to encourage people to stay at home to fight the spread of SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus which causes Covid-19. The increased the volume of testing from Thursday and continues to find higher numbers of favorable cases each day. Yesterday, the health authorities tested 468 samples to confirm the 35 new facts.

Thirty-five people have tested positive for COVID19 in the last 24 hours, Prof Abul Kalam Azad, director-general of Directorate General of Health Services(DGHS), said during a briefing.

With this, the total number of infected has reached 123. So far, Bangladesh has tested samples from 3,610 suspected Covid-19 patients. Among the 123 who tested positive for the coronavirus,33 have returned home following recovery, and 78 are still undergoing treatment.

Meerjady Sabrina Flora, director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (ICR), During the press briefing, has informed that among the newly infected,11 are 41 to 50 years old and six are 21 to 30 years old. She also said that 30 of them are male.

Dhaka city the highest number of infected in the country so far. A total of 64 among the 123 infected are from here, the IEDCR director also said.

The second highest, a total of 23 infected patients, are in Narayanganj. Among the 35 affected in the last 24 hours,12 are from Narayanganj.

There are cases of cluster transmission in Narayanganj, Dr. Meerjady said.

The fast-spreading coronavirus, which was first reported in Chinas Wuhan, has claimed 73,824 lives and infected 1,329,303 people across the world to date, according to world meters.

As many as 277,295 people have recovered from Covid - 19, a disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus, which has spread to 209 countries and territories across the planet.

4.Practice respiratory hygiene

Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory health. This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately.

5. If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early
