The Story Of Andy Murray

Andy Murray, Scottish tennis player who was one of the sport's premier players during 2010, winning three Grand Slam titles and two men's singles Olympic gold medals. It was always a treat to watch him play as he was blessed with speed, power and a light touch. Murray often battled himself as much as his opponent in the court with a determination and goal achieving thought.Guided by his mother, a professional tennis coach, he moved to Spain to focus on his career where he learnt to play on clay and to fend for himself.

Achieving the top ten ranks in the world in April 2007 and in the top 4 two years later, he was not able to achieve the major titles exerted by the three great players of the time, ROger Federer, Raefel Nadal and Novak Djokovic.Former Czech star Ivan Lendl , an eight time Grand Slam champion started coaching him in 2012,and taught him better self-control and self reliance. Murray's breakthrough came in August 2012 when he at last beat Federer on Wimbeldon's center court to win men's singles gold medal at London Olympic games. Also, in July 2013, Murray beat Djokovic in a one-sided final and became the first british winner of the men's singles title at the tournament since Fred Perry, 77 years later.

He was always known for his strong determination and aggression that he showed towards the game on the field. His major struggle started in 2017, he had a hip injury. Next year, he had a surgery that severely limited his play and shortly before Australian open in January 2019, he was thinking of retiring that year. Later that month, he had a second operation. He returned to the game playing the doubles event with Feliciano Lopez and the team won the title.

He is regarded as one of the best players in tennis and like almost in any court whether its hard, clay , grass etc. his style of play and game reading was always the same. He could have gone very far in his carrer but because of some major injury concers he was not a permanent on the field. Recently he withdrawn from Australian Open and ATP Cup after failing to recover from Pelvic injury. We all hope that he recovers soon and come back to the game fully fit as give us a treat of watching him as he has shown over the years. He is waiting for a full recovery to return back into action.
