The ever changing environment of computer

Using different systems of computers and learning their various function and programmes have always been very important to me. I believe one must be versatile and willing to learn in such an ever changing world of computers. From early age I have always had a strong inclination towards computers. This started with my very first Amiga computer to the small network of home personal computer I now own and manage. Initially I was most interested in designing web pages and graphics. This in turn led me into the learning of CGI scripting language perl. Since then I have moved on to Windows, Linux and free BSD based systems which now I run on my PC to aid my day to day computer usage.

Iam also studying Computer at college, which aids me to learn the fundamentals of software design and object orientated programming as well as learning Visual Basic. During my working in the area of graphic designing on computers, I designed the World of shopping website for a local e-commerce company. Recently I have been employed by another local e-commerce company, where I was required to develop programme of web applications for the company, which they would deploy programme of web applications for the company, which they would deploy to their clients afterwards. As a result of being involved in this project, I feel to have gained valuable commercial experience.

Art is another subject in which I am particularly interested. I am currently studying Art at graduation level and have even had my work exhibited in a gallery. The piece of my art work was a painting inspired by my college trip to Nothern areas last year. In my spare time, I enjoy running my own comedy website with my friends, which has enabled me to learn organizational skills. Beside my computer activities, I enjoy playing cricket with my friends every Sunday. I have found this to be a welcome break from normal study, allowing me to exercise at the same time as relieving stress.

Throughout my study, I have been involved in a number of activities, and have also made an effort to maintain a good balance between co-curricular activities and my academic work. Being involved in such activities and having the ability to give something back to my institute has always been important to me. This is the spirit which I am keen to continue in my life.
