Pavagadh

It is located in Pavagadh, 150 km from Bengaluru, in a dilapidated condition. 1907 Children abducted and killed. Even children who slept next to their parents were kidnapped and mauled. A lot of those corpses were found. In some cases, only bones, skulls, and their clothes were found. Similar incidents took place in Pavagadh and the surrounding areas of Raichur, Vijayapuram, and Yadgir. A total of eleven people died in two years. Despite the best efforts of the police, poachers, and locals, the Code Detectives (CID Special Branch) could not find anyone behind the deaths. The case remains a mystery.

The first incident:

The first incident took place on April 29, 1983. Papammani, a five-year-old girl from Pavagadh, was abducted in the middle of the night. Two days later, the baby's right leg was found in a pool of blood. A few days later, a three-year-old girl from the same town went missing. These two events are identical. No 'clues were found in either case. The police took up the case as a challenge. A search operation was carried out in the surrounding villages and gone without a profit, though. In the three months that followed, a total of five children went missing. With this, it was thought that it was the work of animals.

 

Strange beast?

Anjanamma's mother stated to the media that the death of her child Papamoa. The family lives in Danimmanahalli, 15 km from Pavagada. Just after midnight today, a strange creature attacked the house. That form says it has a heavy dog ​​head with a human body. Anjanamma's statement said, "It is a terrible shape to take Papamma in your arms and merge in the dark." What's more ... the whole village was talking that this was some strange beast. However, appearing in the media, the police thought that Anjanamma had said so only for the people's sympathy.

 

Killed but again.

There is a hilly area around Pavagadh. It was thought that wolves or hyenas who tasted human blood would kill children. Six wolves were killed in a single raid on this suspicion. The people tied up a hyena in Pavagada and brutally beat him to death. Usually, hyenas are shy. Do not fall into the wool. If they werewolves, their footprints were found. At least the marks were falling as if dragged. In the absence of any of these, 'Is Ideas an animal? The police had a suspicion. Two more babies died two months after that. With this, the officers had to hold their heads. Police roamed the area and said precautions.

On July 26, a three-year-old girl named Venkatasubbamma went missing in Pavagada. Only the skull was found hundreds of feet away from that little house. Police stormed the scene. The olfactory fields stopped near a cave on a hill at the end of the village. But, it did not appear there. Another incident took place three months after the incident. Stopped after that. The case of 'Pavagada child deaths' went like a hide and sought. No matter how much I searched for months, it was to no avail. The search operation continued day and night. But, the cause of death is not known, 'said Srikanthayya, who was the Pavagada CI at the time.

 

Different versions.

Others have been thought to be psycho killers, based on stories such as 'Little Ride Red Hood.' The case was recently closed. They concluded that wolves were the work of beasts. However, people firmly believe that this is the work of a man in the form of a wolf. Stories are still being told about that strange creature. At night in Pavagadh, those fears seem to linger.
