'Tapping' the toxins away!

Life brings multiple challenges every day, leaving us with a feeling of overwhelm and frustration. As a result, we not only forget how to live a life of abundance and positivity but start spending most of our time in pain, anxiety, fear, phobia, and other toxic stuff. We become emotionally vulnerable and can crumble under extreme stress situations.

To handle these emotional blockages and toxic feelings, Gary Craig developed a practice called the Emotional Freedom Technique(EFT). This technique is simple, non-invasive( acupuncture but without the needles), is quick and gives immediate relief in some cases.

Our body has multiple meridian points but EFT works with only a few. These points are the outer side of the palm, the inner side of the eyebrow, side of the eye, under the eye, above the lips, on the chin, on the collarbone, on the armpit and top of the head. As we start tapping on these points, we first acknowledge the negative feelings that are brewing inside like fear, anger, depression or hopelessness, etc. These toxic feelings are slowly 'tapped away' to bring in more positivity. The accompanying statements also change from negative to positive with the feelings. The process continues until all the toxins are tapped away and the mind and body are at peace.

EFT has been found very effective in clearing negative emotions, limiting self-beliefs, energy blockages and can be practiced at any time of the day. The complete acceptance and acknowledgment of negative feelings help in identifying the blockages and positive affirmations helps in calming the mind. One needs to be tuned in to the problems or concerns and should be able to identify any small shift in the energy while tapping. Sometimes the shift may happen immediately and sometimes it may take a couple of rounds. Patience and awareness is the key to successful tapping. However, it should not be considered as an alternative for medical treatment.
