Tanhaji the unsung warrior is a must-watch movie.
Good job done by Director Om Raut and Ajay Devgan in bring back the memories and giving due importance to Tanhaji. Ajay Devgan is terrific in his action and his character. Kajol looks stunning in her Navari Saree avatar and plays a small but important role .Saif Ali Khan as Udaybhan Rathod plays one of the most outstanding roles I have seen till date. Sharad Kelkar as Shivaji Maharaj is played well.
One should appreciate the pain, efforts, sacrifices undergone to achieve the goal. The fort is one of the most difficult terrain to go to. After capturing the fort, the fort was renamed as Sinhagad( the Lion fort with Lion referred to Tanhaji by Shivaji Maharaj) which was earlier. At the end, Shivaji Maharaj delivers a Dialogue-Gadh Jinkla pan Sinha Gela(Fort won but Lion is gone) speaks of the bravery and the admiration which Shivaji Maharaj had for Tanhaji.
Recommend to watch it in 3D with special effects. Om Raut impresses in his Hindi Directorial debut.
While going through History and the epic movies, one thing is noticeable is that some or the other internal person due to their selfish motive or ambition. Indians have betrayed Indians and that is the reason the outsiders entered our territory, ruled us and dominated us.
If we just imagine that if we had great understanding and co-ordination and stayed united the History would be different.
It's good that these historic movies give one an insight into the past and the way the process the things were approached, disciple respect maintained and how the execution was done despite no formal faster way of communication still correct information was passed and to the respective concerned person. Its a learning for us from these historic stories and apply to us in the current scheme of things.
