Standard Operating Procedures of Online Scammers

There is a new trend of scammers now. Its all about love. Believe me when I am writing this, they actually make you fall in love with the illusion of the man you want to see. I don't know when it actually happens to oneself, honestly you are in a trance. The Logic goes out of the window and we start functioning out of the heart. More than the mind or heart, I would sincerely beg all the women and men out there that before helping anyone online, do not and please do not part away with your hard earned money. It's no fault of yours that you have a naive heart and I am not even mentioning that be any different, all I am pleading is that think through when you are parting with your hard earned money on a relationship that is online.

It all started for me when a fraudster claimed to be from the US Armed forces reached out stating that he will be coming to India and that he is a widower. Most of them will weave stories of either being Widowed or Divorced and the fault is always the other person and not them. Then there will be two-three weeks of immense attention, love bombing and making you feel as the most beautiful thing on Earth. Believe me when I say this the endorphins in your system function so fast that unknowingly there is a glow and you actually start believing the reality of the virtual person.  Once you start feeling the depth of the relationship and start to work towards welcoming this wonderful person in your life, the bomb drops. He is being sent to Syria, or Afghanistan or Iraq. Your heart melts and since you cannot afford to take another heart break you fall into the trap. He conveniently makes you believe that he will not be able to make it unless a penalty is paid to their Commander who is an evil person and wants to take a bribe. Else they will provide a Gmail account to reach out to their commander to check for relieving fees which will include Legal and replacement expenses. This is a big red flag that no official accounts work via Gmail. They will have genuine accounts of their domain. Maybe they will create a story that they are unable to reveal the name of the Commander at a risk of their life. Please be aware. I've had another level which added to my dilemma, I was given a URL of a bank website with actual login details which I logged in and to my dismay it had the exact same features of an actual Bank site. It even had an option to make SWIFT transfers which kind of got to me. Now when I think of it, how can one share their Bank login details with anyone random on the Internet. In today's world no one would do that. Please be aware and this is for anyone and everyone do not fall for such Frauds.

I will not try to demean any country because a country is made up of good and bad people. I just wanted to relay this message across to anyone and everyone reading this, observe and analyze the intention. The other day I was read this post that read "Don't tell me I did not warn you, you just weren't paying attention".
