Sportsmanship means to respect for the game, the players the rules and the officials who give you best performance in a game whether you win or lose. We should not cheat in a game because cheating negates the whole idea of sportsmanship. Therefore, we should have a sense of fair play in the game even when we are playing games at home.

Don't cry when you lose a game, don't be a quitter, try to win the next time. You should know about sportsmanship, play as a learner, don't cry at losing; don't yell at your team mates when they make a mistake. Don't be a quitter. I like cricket, it is a very interesting game. Cricket test is played for five days and one day cricket test is played for 50 overs. It is played by eleven players on each side.

Do you know we are having sports week from Monday next, Are you making any preparation about it? We are participating in different games. That's very good. In which games are you participating? I will play badminton. I will participate in race. I'll take part in volley ball match. That's nice. Before we finalize the selection of players, let me ask you a very important question. Do you remember what sportsmanship is? It means don't cheat. It also means don't cry when you lose. It is also not yelling at your team mates when they make a mistake. I think it means don't be a quitter. You all are right. Sportsmanship includes respect for the game, the players, the rules and the officials. It's also about being the best you can be and about knowing how to win or lose.

We should have to understand that it's about doing our best and striving to improve ourselves. When I play with my brother and he tries to cheat me, my father is always on my side. He says we should have a sense of fair play even when we are playing games at home. Parents can play simple games with their children, whether in the backyard or board games in the family room and nurture a sense of fair play.
