Sarri: Messi having more Ballons d'Or than Ronaldo is 'really annoying

It is no longer news to football lovers as regards the level constistency Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have been dishing out over the last decade, with the two legends scoring goals and breaking records after records aplenty.  Debates have flown in from evry corner as regards who is the better player. But i think it is just fair to say the football world has been extremely blessed to be graced with two incredible world class acts.

But Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri looks alittle fustrated after he said it is "really annoying" that any player has won more ballon d'or awards than his star man Cristiano Ronaldo. Barcelona's alltime scorer Lionel Messi won the latest award in December to move one ahead of the Portuguese star who has so far won five ballon d'or awards.

Lionel Messi won the award after helping Barcelona claim the eight La liga title in 11 years, scoring 51 goalls in 50 matches in all competitions, while Cristiano Ronaldo missed out despite winning the Italian Serie A with Juventus and the inaugural UEFA Nations League title with Portugal.

Maurizio Sarri meanwhile, after the 4-nil thumping of Udinese in the Coppa Italia on wednessday said he is determined to help the former Real Madrid forward reclaim the award this year.

"I would like to help Cristiano win the sixth Ballon d'or first", Sarri said to reporters after the game.

"It's really annoying thinking that someone won more than him. I think about him and i think helping him, it is my goal and the goal of the team. It is right for him".

it is worth commending that the man who has beating Ronaldo to the award over the years has been the Argentine wizard.

The two currently have an incredible 1249 club goals between them. That figure is sure to move even higher up in the next couple of days.

The former Chelsea and Napoli boss also tipped Paulo Dybala to challenge for the award in the coming future.

"Dybala is going to be one of the countenders in the next years. I think so" Sarri said.

While Ronaldo was left out due to illness, Juventus forward Dybala impressed with a brace and an assist against Udinese.

Dybala set up his fellow Argentine International Gonzalo Higuain in the 16th minutes for the opening goal in what was a flowing piece of play before bending a glorious second half strike past goalkeeper Nicolas, having scored from the spot in the firsthalf.

It took his tally to 11 goals in all competitions and it's quiet a massive turnaround in the fortunes of the star after being linked with a move away from Turin in the summer.

Sources have it that Dybala could be on the verge of signing a bumper deal to stay his Juventus stay.
