"All leaders are good readers". Infact good writing needs productive reading and attentive listening. We can't write good stuff or can express our thoughts to others. It is true that books are good friend but which books are good be friends with?
Sometimes we are impressed by a book just reading its name and find the content exactly opposite to our expectations. It is rightly qouted that don't judge a book by its cover. So sometime title of the book is less accepted by our mind and we leave the book completely ignoring the content.
First of all topic is basic demand of selection of a book. For example on which topic you are going to select a book? Some people have interest in history books but they adopt a novel to read and lose their interest in novel too. Some people love reading Dramas but they put themselves in wrong direction by selecting Geography books.
Whenever we select a book according to interest the next step should be reading its preface provided by the author. Preface is basically the theme of the book in few lines or paragraphs. Reading the preface of the book we can also get satisfied whether the wording of the content is according to our will or not.
Half knowledge always creates problems.After reading the preface we should have a glimpse on main topic list of the book if it is provided by the author. Some people skip topics and read the books partially and ultimately gain little bit or nothing. But some books are written in topic wise style and these topics are unique and surely this is different case.
Whenever we fullfil the above considerations then we shold start the book. While reading the books we are impressed by words, idioms or personifications used by author. We should encircle or underline the words or phrases. Basically these words or phrases are beauty of the content.
Dictionary and basic Grammer are necessary requirements for productive reading and writing. There are millions of words in dictionaries and is so tough to remember them. Synonyms of words can be best rember by encircling words while reading and consulting dictionary afterwords. Some people read newspaper to make dictiony strong which is no doubt a good wat to adopt. Perhaps it can also be improved by using these words in our speaking or using them in our writing.
Whenever a book is started is must be read upto it's end. After completing the book self conclusions should be drawn about the book. Perhaps this thing develop creativity in both oral and verbal communication.
