Problems facing teenagers today

Teenagers is the stage or the period of life when the energy and enthusiasm, the vigour and the spirit, are at their highest position. It is the period when the ambitions are cherished and ideals formed. And all these nurtured in an environment which surrounds the teenager. The environment of the teenagers determines the destiny of the country, since they are the future and hope of the country. Healthy growth of the personality is essential for the development of good citizens.

Unfortunately teenagers are facing problems to-day, which constitute a stumblimh block in the development of their personalities and in the way of advancement in their life. The first problem is the problem of Health and Nutrition. In the developing and undeveloped nations the teenagers do not get required amount of nutirtion due to the poor economic standard of the majority of the parents, with the result that their growth and development remains stunted. In these countries the teenagers do not get adequate educational facilties . Many remain uneducated and most of the emaining ones have to satisfy themselves with poor standard of education.

Second problem is many teenagers suffer from inadequate personal care attention of their parents. They have none to guide them on right lines, there is none who can truly look to their problems and meet their expectations.

Third problem is Generation Gap. Teenagers have to counter many do's and dont's  which hinder the development of their thinking. Tension, stresses and starins develop.

Fourth problem is Angry Youth

Youth when enters into life as a full fledged citizen, find himself a mistif in society. These intractable problem have driven them to take to violence and drug addiction.

The present situation have to be rectified. We cannot afford to ignore the genuine problem our teenagers are facing to-day.  Any delay in this matter will spell disaster for the whole society.
