   Ingredients:

  •   150 grams of Peanuts
  •   100 grams of Jaggery
  •   Refined oil (or) Desi ghee
  •   Pinch of Cardamon powder
  • Water as required.

* If you are using the unroasted peanuts then in a pan add the peanuts and roast it to 5 min till it becomes crunchy so that you can easily remove the husk when it's cool down.

* Now cut the Jaggery into small pieces and add this into a pan, keep the gas on medium flame so that it won't burn.

* And stir with the spatula until it gets dissolved completely.

* Add 2 tsp of water or as required, a pinch of cardamom powder and 1 tsp of Ghee and keep on mixing, it gives shine and a good texture to make crispy chikki.

* Let the bubbles float on the jaggery syrup and don't stop your spatula.

* Syrup will bubble a lot initially and keep on stirring until it thickens.

* You can also use a bowl of cold water to check it's consistency ( add a drop of syrup into the bowl of cold water and if it's not sticking to your finger that means it's done)

* At this consistency add the roasted peanuts or you can use crushed peanuts and mix well.

* Don't let it cool, because you can't make thin brittles (or) can't give any shape to it.

* Add this mixture into a greasing pan and roll it evenly with a rolling pin.

* Let it cool completely and cut into pieces with a sharp knife.
