Orion and the Dark. Charlie Kaufman, the director of Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, wrote the screenplay for the movie. Kaufman usually doesn't do this kind of movie, but it seems like a cute and enjoyable one! Maker's Animation (Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie) directed the film.
In the movie, Orion resembles a typical primary school student in that he is quiet, reserved, and has a crush on someone. Beneath his ostensibly normal fade, though, Orion is a mass of teenage angst, plagued by absurd worries that range from tumbling off a cliff to bees, dogs, the ocean, cell phone waves, and even murderous gutter clowns. Of all his phobias, though, the one he fears the most is the darkness, which he must face every night. In order to show Orion that there is nothing to be scared of in the dark, Dark whisks him away on a roller coaster journey around the globe when the real life manifestation of his darkest fear pays him a visit. As the strange couple grows closer, Orion has to choose if he can come to terms unknown to finally give up allowing fear to rule his life and discover the thrill of living.
Negative elements
While using the restroom, Orion talks about how one of his fears is that he'll clog the toilet and let the toilet water overflow the entire school. "Hold on to your butts," someone yells, as they take off quickly.
Insomnia and Unexplained Noises only seem to upset individuals, either by frightening them with eerie noises or by keeping them awake at night with haunting thoughts, in contrast to the other night entities, which make sense when it comes to aiding in sleep.
summary
Orion's greatest fear is of the dark. Dark takes Orion on a world tour to demonstrate that there is nothing to be afraid of at night when the personification of his worst fear pays him a visit.
