With this change in the economic environment, students whose primary motto is to get a good paycheque as soon as he/she completes education now have to change their strategy and look for opportunities beyond the traditional way of a life settlement as job seekers to job creators.
Well, what made this happen? The answer is technology. With technology playing a handsome role in almost every business, Human resources with good soft skills become a priority. Those who are curious to upgrade every day are shining bright and others are lagging behind.
Many companies are rapidly getting irrelevant in present times due to fast-paced technological disruptions. In the last century, it had taken decades to switch gears from one generation of technology to the other. But now technology changing gears rather swiftly, so companies whose vision is future-ready are surviving and others are disappearing.
In such conditions where a company's survival is in question what about an employee with limited skills. The answer is those days are gone where you clear an entrance exam and got through an interview you got hired for 25-30 years in a reputed MNC or GOVT.organisation.If you are with the same old mindset sorry this approach makes you irrelevant in this present world and makes you a loser.
If you are skillful, innovative still there are many opportunities as a job seeker but be prepared for a pink slip on any given day. The question here is If you are such a pro in your field why anyone wants to be a job seeker given a chance everyone wants to be a job creator.
With the Increasing population which in turn increases unemployment no GOVT. at any point in time can accommodate all the unemployed youth. Moreover, many nations are in a mindset of saying that
“There is no business for the government to be in business”.
From past experiences, we always witnessed the failure of companies run by GOVT.where as private companies with good management reaped benefits with good discipline.
The approach of new generation youth should be to provide solutions for complex problems rather than looking for safety and secured jobs. If you observe the achievers of the last generation namely Bill Gates, Steve JOBS, Elon Musk they are out of the box thinkers who provided the world with comforting solutions that reduced human labor, time lag, environmental pollution.
It easier said than done, there will be many challenges to a budding startup here the role of government shall be crucial. Rather than providing Subsidies when a family slipped below the poverty line provide the incentives for unemployed youth for setting up their own business. An ecosystem shall be created where a graduate should not beg for a job rather he/she should ready to provide a job by using the ecosystem, infrastructure, and incentives provided by the nation.
The bottom line is to be a job creator who satisfies your passion and help others to achieve their social and financial goals.
