INDIA'S TIGER POPULATION HITS UP !!

 

Prakesh Javadekar ' Environment minister' is proud to announce that India is finally taking care of the ecological system of INDIA. We as Indians are proud to say that not on a hit but a gradual increase in the population of tigers has been observed....

      

                               INCREASED BY 750 by 4 years!!!

We as Indians should be proud our ecological system ! It is good to hear even after the mumbais only green area taken for metro , the total forest cover has increased by 17,374 square km from 2007-2017 and is has increased and is still increasing...

The total count of tigers has reached to 2,976 .....!

Despite of jhum cultivation in northeast part of India, still around 75 percentage of total land falls under forest area in north eastern states. A brief about jhum cultivation is cutting down all trees and vegetation and burning them thereafter creating alot of pollution !

 

A new survey shall be taking place from 2019-20 by the end of this month(december). Lets hope for the best for the same ; the top three states which have increased the forest cover include West Bengal, Kerala, Undivided Andhra Pradesh. The tree cover of the country as per current assessment is 7.08 lakh sq. km. which is total of 21.54 percent of geographical area.

 

Steps you can take to save the environment :

1. Follow and develop a green city and follow steps like Chandigarh.

2. Make sure the fruits you eat ,the seads left over are not thrown away and again to be plant back into the soil or thrown into empty land.

3. Minimum usage of plastic to be taken care of.

4. Shift to jute and other environmental friendly ways to cut short factors harming environment.

5. Make sure atleast fifteen to twenty percentage of your household have green areas.

6. Avoid and re use the left over plastic as much as possible.

7. Make sure the government preaches and spread the word for the same and make sure the syllabus includes practical usage and viewing on trips to ecological sites .

8. Avoid usage of plastic and switc to cloth bags and straws mad eup of steel.

9. Impose high tariffs by government to the vendors using plastics and articles relating to any matter that cannot be recycled or re used.
