How to make notifications consume less when you have a low battery in your mobile

Surely you receive dozens of notifications on your mobile every day: social networks, emails, updates, WhatsApp or Telegram messages ... This affects your battery, not only for the continuous checking of the different applications but also for the reaction that the phone has to each alarm that it transmits to you.

In case you have a low battery, there are different ways to make the mobile less resistant when notifications arrive and extend its duration to the maximum.

The first thing you should do is deactivate one of the functions, the one that is less useful to you: vibration or sound. Both spend energy and if with only one you can already take the notification, it is unnecessary to have the other active.

When more brightness, more expense will be the battery every time the screen is turned on to show you the notification. And then nothing easier than uploading it again if necessary to be able to read or see something on the screen.

Also, you can activate the Energy Saving Mode on your phone. This function disables numerous phone options and increases battery autonomy significantly. Mainly, avoid doing background tasks, look for updates and other aspects that are always consuming energy without you noticing.

Finally, you can always put the phone in Airplane mode at times. We know that there are few people friendly with this option, but in times of emergency, desperate measures must be taken.

  • Go to your phone’s settings and select “Apps & Notifications.”
  • Scroll down and select “Advanced” > “Special app access” > “Battery optimization.”
  • You’ll see a list of all the apps that are not optimized for Doze mode. Tape on the “Not optimized” button on top and choose “All apps.”
  • Most (but not all) of your apps will be labelled “Optimizing battery use.”
  • You can go down this list of apps and choose any app that you want to exempt from Doze Mode.
  • When you see one that you want to exempt, tap on the name of the app and then select “Don’t optimize.”
