A study on schoolchildren indicated that consuming fruits and vegetables accounts for 12% of overall water intake.

Consuming fruits and vegetables also has weight-loss benefits. Their high water content improves satiety and prevents excessive calorie ingestion. 

2. Drink alkaline beverages:

Sports drinks, which include electrolytes, are excellent sources of hydration. Electrolytes, such as sodium and potassium, in electrolyte drinks assist the body retain water more effectively than ordinary water.

According to studies, the carbohydrates (such as sugar) in electrolyte drinks help the body stay hydrated. (6)

Only 1-2 cups of electrolyte drinks each day should suffice to keep you hydrated.

4. Drink infused water:
Drinking plain water is the simplest technique to boost body water percentage. Keep a bottle close by and take sips throughout the day.

5.Limit drinks that contain sugar:
Avoid artificial liquids including commercial fruit juices, soft drinks, and caffeinated beverages.

Drinking high-sugar beverages does not help you stay hydrated. In fact, studies have showed that drinking sugary beverages while thirsty in order to rehydrate increases long-term dehydration and can cause kidney damage.
