How to entertain ourself

Draw an image.

There are so many things you can do with a pencil: sketch for pleasure, practice your shading methods, don't let yourself take your pencil away from the paper, and see what you come up with. You can make your sketching a competition (which is highly soothing) or play a game in which you must draw an image with your eyes closed or with your non-dominant hand. The other trend is adult coloring for relaxation, which is pretty effective, so pull out those colors and grab yourself a lovely colouring book.

Take pictures of wildlife.

Despite being locked indoors, go into the garden to observe your surroundings and practice your photography talents. It's astonishing how many insects and birds you'll see. For those who homeschool, this also serves as a science class.

Do a workout

This does not have to be marathon training or an Insanity workout, but have some fun making up fitness routines and involve the kids; they will like it. Jo Wicks has been well-known in recent weeks for his morning workouts. Many people believe that the workouts are more difficult than typical adult workouts!

Pamper yourselves.

Make your own face mask, paint your nails, and feel nice while staying at home. Social media is the best source of inspiration for this, with so many beauty therapists and make-up artists sharing tips and techniques with step-by-step instructions.

Choose any language and learn ten new phrases. Being stuck at home provides the ideal time to broaden your knowledge and develop new skills

Have a film marathon

. Consider watching all of the Harry Potter films or going on a Disney movie marathon. Have you got a lot of movies recorded or saved on Netflix waiting to be watched? Well now is your chance; everyone enjoys a duvet day!

Try your hand at baking!

Who does not adore cupcakes? Bring out your inner MasterChef and impress your family with your pipping skills, soft sponges, and delectable cakes! You might also try baking your own bread, which is a popular trend in the United Kingdom.

Create a TikTok

This app has ushered in a new era of social media pleasure. Try it out, and don't be afraid to be ridiculous about it. What have you got to lose by involving your entire household?

 Have a clearout

What else can you do when you have a lot of time and have to stay at home? Sort out your overflowing wardrobe, cramped drawers, or scary cupboards. Put on some music and you'll be astonished at how much you appreciate it.

Read a book. Recently,

the sun has been shining, so get out (in the garden, of course), set up your deckchair, and bury your nose in a book. If the weather isn't cooperating, spend some time in the evening without electronics or television and curl up with a nice book to help you relax and unwind

Practice some yoga.

Cleanse your body, mind, and soul to begin or end the day feeling relaxed and peaceful.

 Play some games.

Bring out your inner child by pulling out some board games and playing with the kids. Or take a run around the garden and get trapped in the mud.
