How to Dieting Without Sacrifice?

So many people see dieting as some kind of cosmic punishment for not having the perfect body. They believe that enjoying food is somehow bad for them, which couldn't be further from the truth. If you want to be completely honest with yourself when it comes to dieting, it's not about giving up food or taste; it's about discovering new foods and tastes. At least for those who really love food and adventure at the same time.

There are many spices that can make even the most bland dishes a little more exciting. Fish and chicken are popular diet foods because they are lean meats. However, adding a little blackening spice is a great way to give your food a little punch and make it taste great without loading up on the calories of a marinade or dipping in butter before grilling. You don't have to stop there. Italian seasoning can also add some flavor to your cooking without adding the extra calories you're trying so hard to avoid.

There are all kinds of spices that work well in this case. Many great chicken seasonings also make great additions to chicken to add to salads for healthier lunches or salad wraps. Grains are good for you when you focus on whole grains. They are quite often the primary source of fiber in the diet, and you need fiber almost as much as water. In any case, simple things that spice up the same old lunch can have a huge impact on your enjoyment of the meal.

You can even indulge in the occasional treat while dieting if you do so sparingly. The key to dieting is to learn proper portions and moderate indulgence. There are all kinds of low-sugar or low-carb desserts on the market that you can enjoy sparingly. In some cases, you can even find sugar-free or low-calorie candies, although you should keep in mind that the calories, especially when it comes to candy you're unconsciously eating, add up quickly and you need to be very careful about what you put in mouth

My point in all of this is that you don't have to sacrifice taste to diet. You can live without butter; there are many substitutions on the market that are quite remarkable. But spices are a great way to add a lot of flavor with little effort on your part. Desserts are also great and you can find many dips and sauces that can be made with fat-free or low-fat mayonnaise or sour cream to cut a few more calories during the dieting process.

These dips and sauces, combined with vegetables, can often be a great substitute for those chips and dips that we love so much and that we often miss when dieting. Cucumbers, green, red and yellow bell peppers, broccoli and carrot sticks all have a nice crunch, which when combined with a good low-fat dip can help cure the greasy chip-craving beast that often rears its head on a diet.

If you keep a close eye on your calories while eating, you should be pleased to know that there are many small snacks that come pre-packaged in 100 calorie packs for your enjoyment. This means you can occasionally indulge in your favorite treats without sacrificing all of your dieting efforts. These snack packs have become one of the best marketing gimmicks since the invention of diet wheels. We all want the benefits of weight loss and we readily admit that if it were a simple process we would all be thin. However, having something like these hundred-calorie snacks to get you through the worst of your cravings can mean the difference between diet success and failure. They are definitely the difference between the old way of dieting and the new way of dieting without sacrificing taste.
