Blogs, also known as weblogs, are new to the internet. They are pretty much a platform that you can use that allows you to post your thoughts on almost any topic you want. They can be used for journaling, promotion, writing, and publishing, anything your heart desires. However, if you are a beginner and new to blogging as well as marketing, there are some very important things you will want to know.
Blog marketing is quite easy if you have a marketing mind. You will find that many people use blogs as a journal and many times these blogs that are used for this purpose are not meant to make their money but just as a way to put their thoughts out there and find others who are going through the same thing. If you have never had a blog before, the easiest thing to do is to start one and write in it for a while. This will allow you to learn what it means and what it all means to maintain a blog. You have nothing to lose or gain by just writing down your thoughts and what's on your mind. You don't even have to post your blog if you don't want others to read what you have to say. That's a personal preference. But if you do, you'll see how it works. Then you can move on to trying to market the product or service.
Using a blog to market something is cheaper than using a website. That's because there are so many free ones you can use to get the word out, and they're just as good as having a website you're paying for. Of course, having your URL has some advantages, but for a beginner, a free one will work until you get the hang of it and want to move it to your server. Free blogs are just not that customizable. If you don't know HTML, you will find that your blog will look like everyone else's blog. But it's fine in the beginning. You can always make changes later once you are successful.

Blog marketing can get complicated if you let it. It is only as hard as you make it. While there are some bloggers out there who are making six-figure incomes using blog marketing, we all know it can be done. We just want to know how. For any beginner, start small and be consistent. All six-figure bloggers have done it. They started with one, built it, and then added another blog, built it. Then they maintained both blogs and did not let them fall behind and continued to add more and more. Of course, they had help and outsourced most of their work. Blog marketing is a great thing to learn. If you can sell stuff from a blog, you can sell it anywhere. Making money with a blog is one of the most rewarding things you will ever learn to do. Just don't expect to make money overnight, know that you have to work at it consistently every day, and remember to put in what you want to get out of it.
