    Chakras (“Disk” or “Wheel”)  refer to the energy centers of our body. Their presence corresponds to certain nerve bundles and organs, running along the spine, starting from the base till the top of our head. Each Chakra coincides with a specific gland, therefore diffusing varied energies throughout the body. 

 

    Knowledge about their presence and functionality is highly crucial in a practical yet simple way. Everyone has different energy levels in their body, which defines their aura and overall personality, shaping them as a uniquely different individual.

     One experiences Chakra imbalance due to detrimental lifestyle affected by toxic relationships, unhealthy diet, disturbed sleep patterns, lack of physical activity and engagement in regular toxic habits. In order to balance your Chakras for a healthier state of being, improved connection between the mind and body, one needs to practice certain mindful healing activities.

 

 

    How to activate your Chakras?

 

   1- Root Chakra.

      It is the foundational Chakra located at the base of the spine. When in balance it promotes confidence, energy and independence. However, when in an imbalanced state, it is responsible for instability, fear, anxiety. Take consciousness of your entire bodily state into consideration and perform the following  to activate root chakra.

 

  •    Try sitting in a cross-legged position on the floor with the tip of your index finger touching your thumb and take deep breaths focussing on your root chakra.
  •   Chant ‘LAM’ while you do so, until you feel settled, relaxed and rejuvenated.

     2- Sacral Chakra.

      It is the second Chakra located at the lower belly and inner pelvis associated with kidneys, bladder and reproductive organs.     To activate sacral perform the following.

 

  • Sit on your knees with your back straight, place your hands in your lap with palms facing upward while focussing on your sacral.
  •  While in this position, take deep breaths and start chanting ‘VAM’ until you are completely relaxed and satisfied.

 

     3- Solar Plexus Chakra.

     It is located four finger breadths above the navel. It represents power and self-confidence. When in imbalance, one might suffer through problems regarding digestion, liver and on an emotional level one might face depression, anger etc.

  •   Sit on your knees, with your back straight and place your hands on your stomach slightly below your solar plexus.
  •  Join the tips of your fingers of both of your hands away from you. Cross your thumbs and straighten the fingers of your hands.
