Work is the measuring rod of a man's life. Man lives in deeds, not in years. It is rightly said, 'One crowded hour of glorious life is worth an age without a name.' To make his life glorious, man needs to achieve success in all he does, no matter how long he lives. The real dignity of a man lies not in what he has, but in what he is.
Man often meets with failures at every turn of his life. He blindly imputes it to bad luck or wrong time. But such a thought is erroneous. The reasons for his failure may be due to the many personal factors like his insincerity, impatience, and lack of Interest, perseverance, and determination.
He should go on doing his work, believing that failures are the pillars of success. Success in a career brings peace and joy to our minds and encourages us to work harder for more success. It is, therefore, rightly said that nothing succeeds like success.
We can achieve success in life by various means. Hard work primarily contributes a lot to our success. We must cultivate the habit of working hard, no matter whatever fields of activity we are placed in.
Perseverance and tenacity are essential to success. We must make continual steady efforts with the work we do with a determination to complete it successfully. The field in which we want to achieve success in maybe one of business, politics, worldly and spiritual life, education, and competition for prizes and trophies.
In every such field, there is known competition, and we have to strive to achieve success by our sincerity, hard work. Perseverance. We should do our work punctually and in a disciplined way. We should also maintain honesty and integrity in our dealings with others while doing the work. We must always remember that the work we are going to do is just and proper and in no way harms other's Interest in a hasty manner.
The lines of the poem 'Noble Nature,' "Only the actions of just smell sweet, and blossom in the dust." should be borne in mind while we go out to do a piece of work.
We have before us examples of some great men who achieved success in life on account of their devotion to work and commitment. They are Rabindranath Tagore, Swami Vivekanand, Mahatma Gandhi, Saint Aurobindo, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Radhanath Roy, Fakir Mohan Senapati, Gangadhar Meher, Barrister Madhusudan Das, Sanjukta Panigrahi, and many others. It is impossible to achieve success in all fields of life, however talented a person may be.
Rabindranath Tagore was an eminent poet, a good actor, an educationist, a social reformer, a humanist, all rolled into one. But he made his mark as an illustrious poet of the world. He became a Nobel laureate in literature for his famous work "Gitanjali," owing to his singular devotion to and absorbing Interest in literature. Similarly, Swamy Vivekanand, Mahatma Gandhi, Saint Aurobindo, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, and others achieved success in their fields of Interest due to perseverance, determination, and other allied qualities. I have a great desire to become an administrative officer in life. To achieve this goal, I am striving to do well in all examinations. I am now putting my heart and soul to my studies, and I hope I'll achieve success in my efforts and be an administrative officer overtime.
