How Five Health Foods That May Be Making You Sick

Many of us are proud and try to live a healthy life. We exercise and work hard to eat the best food we can. Most of us already know that trans fats, white sugar and white flour are not the best health choices, especially if we want to keep our weight low. Unfortunately, some foods that we think are healthy are the ones that can cause many problems in our bodies, and make us sick. Below is a list of some of the healthiest “healthy foods”. Made Sweeteners Most people who eat, whether low-calorie or low-carb foods, will prefer sugary drinks instead of sugar. Admittedly, sugar is a problem and should be avoided, but artificial sweeteners are actually very bad for you and can be dangerous to your health. All the sweeteners are bad, but one of the best for us is NutraSweet (Equal, aspartame). There are more than 92 health-related side effects associated with aspartame use, including brain tumors, birth defects, diabetes, mood disorders and epilepsy. There is a worse reaction to NutraSweet reported to the FDA than all other foods and supplements combined. Another alternative to the chemical-sweetened sweeteners is stevia, which comes from the plant. It has been used for centuries without knowing the side effects. It can be purchased at most health food stores in the United States. Sports Drinks While retailers can lead us to believe that sports drinks are essential for the body when you exercise, the fact is that sports drinks are high in sugar (sucrose, glucose, and fructose) and salt (potassium and sodium) as well as synthetic spices and colors. . Add a little salt to Cool-Aid and you have the same thing. It may be best to drink spring water or freshly squeezed juices while exercising. Lots of Power Bars and Sports Most sports and bars are also filled with substances that are less harmful to our bodies, and slightly better than candy bars. Many of them contain synthetic sugars or sweeteners, chemicals, antibodies, and synthetic nutrients. Check the ingredients before buying a power bar. Try to find one made with whole foods, such as oats and flax seeds, fruits, and natural sugars. Soy products This is one of the most amazing of all, as sod has been used for countless generations in Asia. But the way we use soy now is very different from the way Asians used it. The ancient Asians knew that soybeans were difficult to digest, so they had many fermented processes that broke down most of the raw materials, making the food healthier. Examples of this would be products such as soy sauce, tempeh, and miso. These were used in small quantities as condiments and spices, not instead of meat. But the way we use soy as an alternative to meat (texturized vegetable protein or TVP) can be very dangerous, because soy contains a large amount of toxins or anti-nutrients. Some of the problems caused by anti-nutrients in soybeans are pancreatic, cancer and thyroid problems. Soy beans can also inhibit the absorption of essential minerals. Granola (and Other Unprocessed Grains) For the past 30-40 years granola has been a staple food. But unprocessed cereals, or uncooked grains, boiled or germinated, only happened 50-100 years ago. People who lived before our time realized that uncooked grains can cause food poisoning. There are also anti-nutrient antibodies (such as soybeans), such as phytic acid and enzyme inhibitors, which make it difficult to digest. These antinutrients can cause serious problems such as Crohn's disease, constipation, and even mental disorders. Our failure to process our grain properly is one of the reasons why celactic disease is so prevalent now. So, stay away from granola. Oatmeal is an excellent addition to our diet, but use whole-sized oats (not immediately) and soak them overnight before boiling breakfast. Do some research before you grab that sports bar, or better yet, access organic apples, cherries, or other natural (unprocessed) foods. Your body will thank you and reward you for it.
