How everyone preparing for Prince Philip's funeral? Let us know about it.

How is everyone preparing for Prince Philip's funeral?

St. George's Chapel

Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, husband of Queen Elizabeth II, has died at the age of 99. Prince Philip breathed his last on Friday (April 10).

Prince Philip's funeral will take place next Saturday, April 17.

Preparations for his funeral are now underway. However, it is learned that the event will not be held on a large scale but in a formal manner.

What happens next?

The Union Jack and national flags will be flown at half-mast at all government buildings at 8 a.m. on the day of Prince Philip's funeral, according to the British government. Union jacks installed in all places where the Queen is not present will be halved in half.

The Royal Standard flag, displaying the sovereignty and power of the monarchy, is never flown at half-mast.

Prince Philip was given a gun salute in Britain and Gibraltar on Saturday afternoon. 41 gun salutes were given at Edinburgh, Cardiff, London, Hillsboro Castle in Northern Ireland and naval bases in Portsmouth and Davenport. Here was one such 40-minute opener every minute.

Prince Philip was involved in World War II as a naval officer. He also held the office of Lord High Admiral.

It also saw Royal Navy ships such as the HMS Diamond and the HMS Montero salute Prince Philip.

Elections will be held here next month. But major political parties in England, Scotland, and Wales have suspended the campaign in honor of Prince Philip. On Monday the British Parliament will pay tribute to the Duke of Edinburgh.

How will the people pay homage?

In England, there are restrictions on people coming together on the back of a corona. Therefore, planning is being done for the funeral. People are being advised not to participate in this event.

The royal family has appealed to people not to offer flowers outside the royal family's buildings, but to raise funds under charity instead of carrying flowers.

There was a notice outside Buckingham Palace about the Duke's death. But seeing the possibility of people gathering there, the sign was removed. But still people are seen coming there and paying homage.

Can people pay their last respects?

Their funeral should be held in a small crowd. Our earthly body should not be kept for public viewing. Prince Philip wanted to keep it in Windsor Castle instead, it is said.

The Duke's flag can be seen at the event. His flag reflects his life. That includes the British title he received.

He decided to relinquish his Greek title in 1946 after falling out with Princess Elizabeth. He later became a British citizen. Likewise, he then decided to use his mother's English name, Mountbatten.

Who will attend the funeral?

The idea was to hold a grand funeral for the Duke of Edinburgh after his death. But the Corona crisis and the signs of a massive influx of people could change that view.

Prince Philip's body can be taken to St. George's Chapel, a short distance away, for burial.

The kings, queens, princes, and princesses of the royal family are buried here in the Royal Vault in St. George's Chapel.

This is where Prince Harry and Megan Merkel got married. Prince Evgen and Jack Brooks bank were married in 2018 at the same place.

It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.

But Prince Harry can attend the event. The Duke of Sussex and the Duchess of Sussex, who live in the United States, resigned as senior members of the royal family last year. He has not returned to Britain since then.
