How Dieting For Success Making It Happen?

All too often, dieting is approached with impending failure in mind. Too many people have tried and failed so many diets in their past that they try another new diet, knowing full well that they will fail again. Guess what? They will be.

Henry Ford once said, "If you think you can, or you think you cannot, you'll always be right." If you think you are going to fail this diet, you're setting yourself up for failure before you even take your first bite. Think before you start because only a true masochist can find pleasure in perpetuating this vicious cycle without ever stopping to wonder why none of the other diets worked for you. Henry Ford also said, "Failure is only an opportunity to start over more intelligently." In case you were wondering, I'd say his words are pretty profound. But seriously, if you do not examine the reasons for your failures, you are definitely dooming yourself to repeat them, and if you're already planning to fail, why on earth would you even try?

You are the only person who can take control of your need to eat. You are the only one who can pay attention and notice when you are eating for emotional fulfillment and when you are eating out of necessity. You and you alone can get out of your chair and onto your feet. You are the only one who can take responsibility for the state you are in. There are medical exceptions, but even in those situations, if you are trying diet after diet and failing over and over again, at some point you have to realize that diets probably do not work.

We all have to be responsible for our successes and failures in life. The same goes for diet. There are few better feelings in the world than having someone notice and appreciate your efforts. Unfortunately, if you are very obese, it may take a little longer for people to actually notice that you have lost weight. Too many men and women give up just because no one noticed, and that is an incredible shame. Give your diet practices a chance to work before you decide they are a failure, and you might just surprise yourself with a huge success.

The truth is that too few people are accountable for their diets and weight loss goals. This means that too many people give up without bothering to do so. If you have trouble being accountable for your diet plans, you might do well to diet with a partner. This will help you not only set goals, but also meet and overcome challenges along the way. A partner can also benefit from a partnership, as they will struggle and feel the need to perform better than if they were dieting alone.

To achieve lasting results, you need to be accountable for your diet and weight loss goals. If you have had no success with dieting in the past, maybe it is time to bring some accountability into the picture and make it happen.
