How Clever Is the Crow?

It is said that the crow can remember every face it has ever seen for more than 5 years. Its memory is super strong!

Besides, the crow will use simple tools around him to make some small items to make predation and life more convenient, such as small stick with hooks and spines.

It is assumed that they make simple tools based on observing other bird's behavior. After returning home, they make the same tools based on memory and then optimize and upgrade the tools.

To test this conjecture, the scientists experimented with crows. They first let crows to throw different pieces of paper into vending machines to get rewards. However, the size of the pieces of paper to be inserted is regulated. After repeated training, these crows have figured out the rules.

When scientists gave them large pieces of paper again, they already knew that they can shed the paper to get the correct size into the vending machine. It can be seen that the crow can make tools by memory and learning. As researches exploe the nature of the intelligence of crow.

THE ANOTHER EXPERIMENT: Crows again involved an out-of-reach bit of food. The crows quickly solved the problem by using a long stick to reach the food. And when the long stick was placed inside a cage the crows six out of seven in the experiment use a shorter stick to push the long stick into a position where it could be picked up. Thus the crows used a tool to manipulate anothe tool, and it was not just a single individual with this skill. The use of a "metatool" is a behavior difficult even for primates.

In our childhood we all have listened a story "a clever crow" in this story we all saw the cleverness of a crow. The crow uses his brain to drink the water from pot..... so guys crows are much more clever then we think.
