How 9 out of 10 people on the planet are going in the wrong path.

Almost everyone we come across is in pursuit of financial gain. We're all in it for the money. It's impossible to satisfy all of our whims. Once a want is satisfied, a new one arises immediately after.

The daily grind has gripped everyone. We're keeping tabs on what the general public is doing. "Let me assist you in crossing the road," the blind guy offers to another blind. Because none of them can perceive reality, they'll both fall into the pit. The worst part is that we refuse to acknowledge our blindness. The only thing we'd refuse is a man's sight if he came and offered it to us.

It's becoming more and more apparent that life is full of uncertainty. We have no idea what will happen in the next millisecond, whether or not we will still be here. We also act as if we are immortals, as if death is not meant for us. In addition, we pray to God every day and are well-versed in the teachings of our scriptures. Then there's the fact that we don't get it and don't care. We'll say our prayers 2–5 times a day, but we'll never beg for guidance. We only want more and more money. Such prayer serves no purpose if we refuse to listen to what God has to say.

I don't see why we serve anyone else since God has made it evident that we are his children and that our sole purpose is to help Him. What's the use of praying if it doesn't result in wisdom? Complaining about not being heard is a sign that we are not paying attention to what God says. If such is the case, why should he take our advice?

Take off the emotional barriers to see the truth. Pay attention to what the spiritual people have to say. They are God's ambassadors. Because God loves us so much, despite our selfishness, he sends his people to help us remove our blindfolds time and time again. But we are so stubborn and self-centered that we mistreat his messengers and label them fools. In the image of God, this is the gravest offense a person can commit.

Consider things from a broader angle, and remember that we're all here for a reason. We're not here to go to school, get a job, get money, get married, have kids, and then get ready to marry them and die. Everything is only a tiny portion of our more extensive trip. This goal is to help us discover who we are and what kind of relationship we have with God. But what are we going to do? We lose sight of our actual goals and become mired in trivial concerns. It's like taking pleasure in the intermission while ignoring the film.

Why do we place such a high value on material possessions while taking our spiritual growth for granted?

Whatever we do, our goal should be solely to advance spiritually. Otherwise, we'll keep returning and will be forced to endure the hardships of this world over and over again.
