Have 'You' Watched this Show?

In this day and age, with the number of ever-increasing OTT platforms and shows, it kind of feels like which show should we watch or which we should not. And you might say all the content on OTT platforms is good so we can watch any show, but that's not the case as the number of OTT platforms increased, so does the number of series, but it also caused the decline of quality content.

And I am not saying this out of the blue because this didn't happen in a couple of weeks but is happening after the rise of OTT platforms, Sure there were market holders like Netflix back in the day and now also but the success of the platform helped in the emergence of new OTT platforms. Due to this, the number of shows went on increasing, but the quality was left compromised. And I am not saying that all the shows are below average, but some are not on par with their contemporaries.

So I think it's enough talking about the decline in content quality on the OTT platform; now let's talk about what we should do? I think there is nothing more we can do except watch good shows and not binge on any sub-par or below-par shows; this way, the creators will focus on delivering the best content possible. And to help you, I will tell you about shows you should watch; it will save your time and help keep quality content over OTT.

Without any further wait, here is a show you should watch right now.

You (Netflix) - 2 seasons

Currently streaming on Netflix, the series has amassed a huge following due to its story and performance by the lead actor Penn Badgley who portrayed the character of an obsessive lover/stalker who will go to any length to get closer to his object of affection. It will be wrong on my side and a disservice to tell you anything more about this thriller story. With a great storyline, editing and screenplay, it is a show that keeps you hooked through all its running time (50 minutes approx. each episode), and the end of each episode makes you wonder what will happen next? Thus you end up binge-watching the whole season.

The series is based on a novel of the same name by Caroline Kepnes, published in 2014, and its sequel Hidden Bodies, published in 2016. The series initially premiered on Lifetime on September 9, 2018, but had a small audience. It was after Netflix picked up the series that it became so popular internationally.

The series is coming back with a confirmed season 3, which will be premiering on the platform in the year 2021, with Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti reprising their roles. So before the series comes back with its season 3, the ones who haven't watched it can enjoy it on Netflix, and the others like me who have watched it will still have to wait.

So I am sure you will enjoy the series as much as I enjoyed it. And as I promised you that I would tell you about shows you should watch so I will be back with another exciting series in the next article.
