GARDENING
A garden is a piece of ground on which flowers and vegetables are cultivated. A forest is also a garden. It is natural garden. A forest full of tall trees, plants and different creatures is the creation of God. But it has no plants. It has got no system. It has no design. It is a wild state. A garden is, however created with some skill of man. It is therefore artificial in its design. God is the maker of natural garden. Artificial garden are the result of man's skill. The man who processes e the kind of skill, and takes keen interest in gardening work is no doubt, an artist.
Laying out and cultivation of garden is called gardening. Gardening is an art. It requires a kind of training. Those who have no natural taste for it can never acquire any skill in such art. A good garden can be maintained only after years of experience. So everyone cannot be a good and successful gardener. Gardening needs great care and attention. A simple taste for gardening is not enough. One who is interested in this art must also be ready to sptead some time for it every day. A paid servant may be negligent in his duty. So some part of one's time and energy has to be spent over it. Plants must be watered regularly. Wild grasses and plants must be removed every now and then. To increase the fertility of soil some kind of manure has also to be supply. All these things require a lot of time and patients.
The beauty of multi-coloured flowers and fruits captivates everyone. A sweet gentle air blowing over them is very refreshing. Gardening is not a simple art. An open piece of land has to be selected. Liht and air must play freely over it.
A garden gives pleasure without any profit. A lovely garden is really a great blessing to man. Gardening makes us enjoy nature. For a while we forget our worldly cares and thank the Almighty for his lovely, wonderful creations. Thus gardening leads us to godliness.
