From 'Shaitaan' to 'Showtime', list of movies, OTT releases this week

On services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+ Hotstar, a number of films and web series, including Shaitaan, Merry Christmas, Showtime, and Majarani Season 3, are getting released.Let's examine this.

Shaitan

Ajay Devgn, Madhavan, Jyothika Saravanan, and Janki Bodiwala play the key parts in this supernatural thriller. The Shaitaan, which is helmed by Vikas Bahl, opens in theatres today, March 8.

Showtime 

"Showtime," which is being directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar, is being billed as a "epic saga of legacy and ambition in the world of cinema," offering viewers a behind-the-scenes look at nepotism and power battles in Bollywood's multibillion dollar business. HanuMan

Zee5 will release the mythological superhero film "HanuMan," starring Teja Sajja. Prashanth Varma is the writer and director of the Telugu-language superhero movie. The story of "HanuMan" takes place in the made-up city of Anjanadri, where Sajja, a small-time robber given powers by Lord Hanuman, plays Hanumanthu. He battles Michael in order to save the people of Anjanadri; Michael longs to have a power that would enable him to be a powerful superhero.

Merry Christmas!

The creators of 'Merry Christmas' are prepared to embark on their over-the-top adventure after enthralling theatregoers. "Merry Christmas," which is directed by Sriram Raghavan, features Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi in the key parts.

The story of Albert (Sethupathi), a returning visitor to Bombay in the 1980s, centres on his encounter with Maria (Kaif), a lonely mother, and her child on Christmas Eve. The story takes a different turn as the night wears on and the two spend more time together and find a dead corpse in Maria's flat. Today is the movie's Netflix release date.

Season Three of Maharani

 

The show is available to stream on Sony LIV. It stars Huma Qureshi as an inadvertent chief minister who must battle caste, political opponents, her own husband, and gender norms to maintain her position of authority. The new season features Qureshi's Rani Bharti serving a three-year jail sentence and Navin (Amit Sial), her political competitor, holding the position of chief minister.

Gadsby's Gender Agenda in Hannah

Netflix is currently airing "Gender Agenda," a comedy by Hannah Gadsby. Comedian Hannah Gadsby co-stars in the show with seven genderqueer performers: Mx. Dahlia Belle, Jes Tom, Alok, Asha Ward, DeAnne Smith, and Chloe Petts. Gadsby previously published the Douglas (2021) and Nanette (2018) Netflix specials.

Damsel

Spanish filmmaker Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's fantasy film. Brown plays a faithful damsel in the movie, chosen by her queen to wed a dashing prince. But when she finds out she's being used as a sacrifice by the royal family to settle an old debt, the dream becomes a nightmare. She is forced to battle to survive after being thrown inside a cave with a fire-breathing dragon.

'Damsel' will be available on Netflix starting on March 8.

BlackBerry

It tells the real tale of the first smartphone's explosive ascent and tragic fall from grace. It's available for streaming on Apple TV and will soon be accessible on Prime Video for Indians.
