Due to the COVID attack, about 34,808 people have died. But on the other hand, the Earth is healing itself. The improvement in the environment for which humans were trying a lot, is made right by COVID-19.
The main reason behind all these improvements is the lockdown by many countries of the world. People are advised to stay at home. Everything is jammed. No traffic, no industrial effluents, no pollution because of aviation activities, no water pollution, no land pollution, and no radioactive pollutants. Welcome to a new HEALTHY EARTH.
The statics about the reduction in air pollution is surprising. After WW2, humans are making great efforts to control pollution, but all in vain. However, COVID in merely the past four months has done what we could not have done in centuries.
Because of more than 10000 deaths in Italy, there is a severe lockdown in Italy. There is a strict lockdown in entire Europe also.
The Europian environment agency EEA has confirmed that the concentration of NO2 has decreased mainly due to reduced traffic and other activities.
Air pollution kills about 4.2 million people per year. Air pollution kills about over 1 million people in China alone. Cleaner air has saved about 50000 lives in CHINA over the past few months. Venice grand canal, usually founded by boat traffic, is now going to be much more cleaner.
In AMERICA, the fog of pollution has lifted. CHINESE carbon emissions have dropped by 25 percent, which is equal to 200 million tons of CO2. This percentage is equivalent to more than half of annual BRITISH carbon emissions.
In MILAN, the average concentration of NO2 has decreased by about 24% than before. The average level of NO2 was 21 percent lower in March as compared to that in the same month of 2019.
In Bargamas, the concentration of NO2 in March was 47 percent lower than for the same month in 2019.
In Rome, the average concentration of NO2 was 25 to 35 percent lower in March as compared to that in the MARCH of 2019.
In Barcelona, the NO2 level decreased by 40 percent. And she compared to the same week in 2019 the reduction was 55 percent.
In MADRID, NO2 level decreased by 56 percent. And as compared with the same month of 2019, the reduction was 41 percent.
In LISBON, NO2 level decreased by 40 percent. And compared with the same month of 2019, the reduction in the concentration of air pollutants, mainly NO2 was 51 percent.
It seems that nature is punishing us for what we did. We destroyed the rivers, canal, and oceans. Now Allah is punishing us for not following him, for not following his teachings, for not following his orders.
No doubt it a payback of our deeds. But there is still a chance. Chance to save the world. A chance to take care of each other. And a chance to beg the GOD for forgiveness.
Today, even the most powerful countries are helpless in front of the COVID epidemic. There is no solution to COVID except to stay at home. Otherwise, death could be a future of the entire Earth population.
COVID has caused a significant loss of humans and a high profit of Earth. Perhaps the Earth is now healing itself!
