Drug Abuse is a big threat to any society in the world. Drug are very harmful for human health. Drug addiction is not a problem of only one country of state, it is a hot issue in the whole world.
Drug-addicts take different kind of drugs like heroin, mrijuana, opium, valium and etc, and get lost in the world of dreams and fantasies. They find an escape from the realities and responsibilities of life and remain sleepy. They often steal and rob things to get money. They do not do any positive work and become a burden on the economy and national progress of a country.
The Drug Mafia who deal in drugs are the real criminals for promoting drug addiction. They spread the poison of drugs in the society only to get money. Most of the time their victims are young boys and growing children.
Sincere efforts are needed to control this deadly abuse in the society. The government should make strict laws for the drug-Mafia members and it should also set up rehabilitation centers in big hospitals in all the cities for the treatment of addicts. Side by side healthy activities like sports and games must be arranged for the youth to keep them away from bad company. Moreover, time by time some awareness compaigns should be started to make people aware of the menace of drugs. Only then we can control this great threat to the society.

The efforts to eliminate drug addiction are made on national and international level.
