Dozing 1 or 2 times each day decreases the danger of heart attack

If you like sleeping, nap is your favorite hobby, then there is good news for you. A new study published in the journal, Hart, has revealed that people who take naps or fall asleep during the day reduce the risk of heart attack. The research team at the University Hospital of Lausanne, Switzerland, did a study and came to the conclusion that people who sleep once or twice a day during the day reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke by 50 percent. Than those who do not sleep at all during the day.

3462 participants were monitored for 5 years

For this study, the researchers tracked the activities of 3 thousand 462 Swiss adults between 35 and 75 years for about 5 years. When this study began, about 58 percent of the participants in the study said that the bunkers had not taken a nap during the day in the previous week, while 19 percent said they had taken a nap once or twice. About 12 percent blinked 3 to 5 times and 11 percent snoozed 6 to 7 times.

Only a 20-minute snooze during the day is sufficient

But according to the National Sleep Foundation, a 20-minute nap during the day is enough to improve your mood as well as to make you more alert.
