DO YOU KNOW WHY A SPECIAL FLIGHT FLEW FROM BHOPAL TO INDORE ONLY TO PICK THEM UP?

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru is remembered for a various number of reasons. Everyone may remember him as India's first Prime Minister, or as the father of the country first Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, or as someone who failed to recognize the importance of the army, or as a freedom fighter, or as a visionary who appears to be responsible for almost everything good that is currently happening in India (at least according to Congress!!). There were so many parts of his life and stories related with him that now and then, a fascinating trivia of information will emerge that will either shock or amuse you. One such trivia is his fondness for Cigarettes. Numerous pictures of him smoking show that our first Prime Minister had a thing for the toxic cancer-causing stick. To be honest, smoking was considered a status symbol or a method to appear 'cool' at that time, but in the end, it is a nasty addiction that is difficult to get rid of. "Mukesh might still be alive today, if people had understood about the dangerous consequences of tobacco at that time. THE LOVE FOR BRAND 555 In any case, there is a story about former Prime Minister Nehru that may make anyone roll their eyes even now. He was expected to stay in Raj Bhavan during one of his visits to Bhopal. However, the staff realized that his preferred and favorite brand of cigarettes was not available in Raj Bhavan. In fact, it was not available in Bhopal, and Nehru was very much fond of lighting a stick after his meals. State Express 555, which is simply known as 555, is a British Cigarette brand that was originally manufactured in the United Kingdom, England by the ardath Tobacco company. In general, one would suspect that they might have offered him a different brand. But No! According to the official website of Madhya Pradesh, his favorite stock of cigarettes were airlifted from Indore!! Someone was assigned the task of purchasing packs of "555" brand cigarettes and transporting them to the Indore airport. A plane went from Bhopal to Indore to retrieve the package, collect the cigarettes, and return to Bhopal. USING GOVERNMENT RESOURCES FOR PRIVATE PLEASURES The apple does not appear to have fallen far from the tree, as the Nehru-Gandhi family's fondness for exploiting natural resources for personal gain or for private pleasures has been passed on through generations. As India's Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi, his grandson, used the INS Viraat as a private taxi to carry friends and family, including his Italian in-law, to Lakshadweep. The INS Viraat was supposed to protect the country's maritime borders, but it was ordered to convey the Gandhi family on vacation. That isn't everything. Government staff and navy soldiers were dispatched to organize all the vacation amenities. The army's special chopper was on standby service 24×7, and the entire government was in charge of arranging entertainment for Rajiv Gandhi's personal visitors and guests. Who was that Army officer who "slapped" Nehru in front of everyone? Disclaimer--- It was a Metaphorical slap. After Independence, Nehru have chosen and appointed General Lockhart, a British Army Personnel, as chief of the Indian Army. After a year, when Gen. Lockhart's reliability and credibility was called into question, he resigned. As a result, Nehru has set up a conference with key security officials and the country's Leadership. He again sought to appoint some British officers as chief of the Indian Army. Then Nehru said--- We need to appoint a new army chief now that Gen. Lockhart has resigned, and I believe it is preferable to pick and appoint a British man because our country lacks skilled and experienced Army Personnel. Many Army people and soldiers were deeply hurt, by the statement of Nehru. Of course, it would because, there were a number of qualified and capable army officers sitting there. Ll Then a brave, bold man stood up and said--- "We also lack a man with sufficient experience to govern our country." Shouldn't we appoint someone from the United Kingdom as Prime Minister?" So yeah, certainly, that was a tight, Metaphorical slap for insulting and demeaning Indian Army officers. The man was Thakur Nathu Singh Rathore, was a descendant of Rathore Jaimal, who fought for Mewar against Akbar. Bravery and boldness were in his blood. During World War II, he served as Division Commander in Burma, and he was a prominent figure in the India-Pakistan war of 1947. He was offered the rank of Commander-in-chief of the Indian Army in 1947. He denied the position, stating that General K.M. Cariappa was his senior and more qualified and eligible than him; he should be the chief. Pp He was appointed as the Commander of the Eastern Army in 1951.
