At the outset, let me clarify to you that in no ways we are saying it's good for the society because it has gripped the world badly and thrown it into the unexpected zone. We all are living in uncertain times. We have lost so many precious lives across the globe. This extremely tiny, invisible to our eyes, the virus is around 900 times smaller than the width of our hair. It has pushed everyone inside the home. Because of this virus, almost the whole world has come to a standstill. The virus has pushed the world into a recession worst than in 2009. And very worst things may unfold as time passes by. But hope is always higher. So, how does the virus has certain good things about it? It's the circumstances that are good. Let me explain to you point by point.
1. Air Pollution drastically down
Due to complete lockdown in almost all countries, the quality of the air has improved and become breathable. We never cared about nature ever. It was only words without action. But this virus has pushed us to apply the brake. I am sure people all around the world would be experiencing it.
2 Time for family
Now almost everyone is working from home so no one can complain that they do not have time. Not having time was always an excuse, not a reason. We humans always tend to chase money and worldly things. The god has another plan for all of us to make everyone sit at home and give time to ourselves
3 Work from Home.
This is not a new concept, but it is rarely applied in the developing nations. Now everyone, although forceful, is following it. Work from home is a beautiful concept. It helps to create a perfect balance for a personal and professional life. Also, traveling hectic and tiredness is reduced. Companies can save on overhead costs incurred towards the employees.
4 Basic hygiene
Since childhood, we have been taught to wash hands frequently and adequately. But we always tend to forget the basics because we are busy being a step ahead of others in the mundane world. This COVID 19 has acted as a big reminder for all of us that we must wash our hands whenever we step into our office or house. And it must be a priority.
5 Social distancing.
Since the advent of social media, the distance between personal face to face relations has to widen. Now, this virus has officially brought in the Social Distancing concept. The problem with us is we all love to go with the crowd, and most of us feel comfortable in the me-too category. Now everyone has to follow social distancing to create there own distinction in society.
Lastly, I feel this lockdown is bliss for our Mother Nature. It has taken a specific burden off her chest. It will mitigate Global Warming to some extend. I won't be surprised if lockdown for a certain period would be an annual mandatory event.
