Celebs donate to fight against covid-19 outbreak

The Coronavirus pandemic gripped the entire world, claiming several lives. Prime minister Narendra Modi Ji imposed a 20-day lockdown in India to combat the further spread of covid-19 with the country entering a total lockdown; people are following social distancing to keep the deadly virus ar bay several Bollywood, Tollywood and tv celebrities have come forward to donate for the cause of combating against coronavirus.

AKSHAY KUMAR, who was last seen in `Good news' opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan, has donated Rs 25 crore to P.M-CARES FUND for the welfare of the fund. The Bollywood superstar, while replying to P.M NARENDRA MODI' S tweet, made the announcement. 

` This is that time when all that matter is the lives of our people and we need to do anything and everything it takes. I pledge to contribute Rs 25 crore from my savings to @narendramodiji's P.M-CARES FUND. Let's save lives `Jaan hai toh jahaan hai' Akshay Kumar wrote on the microblogging site.

Comedy king Kapil Sharma, who is tickling the funny bone of the viewer in the Kapil Sharma' also announced a donation of Rs 50 lakh to the P.M relief fund "it's time to stand together with the ones who need us contributing Rs 50lakh to the P.M relief fund towards the #fightagainstconrona, request everyone to #stayhome #staysafe #jaihind #pmrelieffund @narendramodi," Kapil Sharma wrote.

`Baahubali' star prabhas has donated Rs 3 crore to the prime minister relief fund . The actor was last seen in ` saaho,' also contributed Rs 50lakh each to the chief minister relief funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Telegu actor Ram charan followed the footsteps of Pawan Kalyan and Rs 70 lakh to the government's relief fund to battle the coronavirus pandemic.

"I hope this tweet finds you in good health. At this hour of crisis, inspired by Pawan Kalyan Garu, I want to do my bit by contributing to aid the laudable efforts of our governments... I hope you all are staying safe at home! #covid_19 #indiafightscorona," the 'RRR' actor wrote on Instagram. 

Varun Dhawan donated 55 lakh to the PM-CARES Fund and the CM Relief Fund.

Mahesh Babu also donated Rs 25 lakh for the TFI workers and urged his fellow actors to join in for the cause. "The lockdown situation adversely impacts the lives of daily wage cine workers. Will be contributing Rs. 25 lakhs towards Corona crisis charity for TFI workers. Requesting all fellow actors to come forward and make their contributions in these testing times #StayHomeStaySafe," Mahesh Babu wrote on the micro-blogging site.

Pawan Kalyan donated Rs 50 lakh each to the AP and Telangana CM relief fund and Rs 1 crore to PM Modi's relief fund.
