CA Final Course 2023: Eligibility, How to Register, Fees, Syllabus

CA Final Eligibility Criteria

How to register for the CA Final Course?

Follow these steps to apply for the CA final course:

  • Visit the official website of CA at icai.org and click on “e-services”. 
  • Go to the Self-service portal. 
  • Sign in using your user registration ID and password. 
  • Select Student Cycle and click on CA Final Course. 
  • Go to the final registration form. 
  • Fill out the required details. Your basic details are filled in automatically (as previously registered for foundation and inter) 
  • Upload the required documents. 
  • At last, pay the registration fee of Rs. 22,000 and complete the registration process. 

The CA Final Study Material will be dispatched to the candidates through the CDS (Centralized Dispatch System) after they complete the registration process. 

Documents required for the registration of the CA Final course

The documents required for the CA Final registration are-

  • Student’s Passport size photo 
  • CA Inter Mark sheet 
  • CA Foundation Mark sheet (If the student is not applying through the Direct Entry Route) 
  • Special Category Certificate (SC/ST) 
  • Nationality proof for foreign students 

CA Final Registration Validity

CA Final has a registration validity of 5 years from the registration date for all the candidates who have registered for the CA Final course. If the validity is expired, the candidate can also revalidate this by paying a revalidation fee of Rs. 500. Keep in mind that revalidation also has a validity of 5 years from the revalidation date. 

CA Final Fees

The CA Final course fee for Indian students in India is Rs. 38300 for a single group and Rs. 39800 for both groups, whereas the fee for foreign candidates in India is $1650. The fee for the course is not paid as a one-time payment. The fee structure of the whole course is mentioned below.

CA Final Syllabus and Subjects

The syllabus of the CA final course is divided into 2 groups, further divided into 8 Papers. The first group contains 4 papers, including financial reporting and management, laws, auditing, and ethics, and the second group also contains 4 papers, including cost management and performance evaluation, elective papers, direct and indirect laws, and international taxation. In the second group, the 6th paper is of elective papers, meaning that students have to choose one subject out of six for this paper. Exam Form of CA Final Course

Candidates need to fill out the exam form to take the CA Final exams. CA releases the form on its official website (icai.org).   The exam fee for the course is mentioned above in the structure. Candidates must fill out the form before the date mentioned by CA; otherwise, they have to bear a late fee of Rs. 600 for Indian students and $10 for foreign students.

If a student fails in the CA final exams, he can give the paper again. There is no limit to the number of attempts to clear the exams. But still, try to prepare well for the papers so that you do not fail and do not need to attempt the paper again.
