Pomeranians, also known as Poms or Pom Poms, are sled dogs from Northern Europe. Despite their small size, they are descended from larger breeds and can take on large dogs with their small bark. They have been mentioned in the works of Martin Luther, Mozart, and Michelangelo. Pomeranians are known for their ability to make excellent treatment dogs and hearing aid dogs, and require only standard brushing to reduce shedding.
