Are you blogging effectively?

Maybe the term "blogging" isn't so elegant. It sounds to me like a worded drudgery in the same way that cereals can be soggy, clouds can be foggy, and minds can be groggy. Still, for the time being, it's too late to rename this abbreviated term for web-logging. Regardless, widespread blogging is one of the most interesting Internet trends in recent years. It is a modern and vital force in shaping views, political realities, patterns, and even our language as a platform, as it gives rise to many new and deserving voices and plays a new and vital role in shaping opinions, political realities, trends, and even our language.

believe that a blog is nothing more than a tool for those with something to say. Let me be clear: a blog is not the best option for someone who wants a megaphone to shout into cyberspace in order to evoke a positive reaction from Internet users. If you want publicity, and you want it now, and you expect blogging to provide it, you will be disappointed. However, if you like writing and engaging others in discussions on topics about which you have some knowledge or experience, it's a great way to meet others who share your interests. The hysteria is justified.

1.) Be present.

It is not a choice to get a message that is cohesive. Readers may or may not be interested in your thread, but if your message is haphazard, few will remember to return to your blog so there is little to remember. This isn't to say that bloggers can't hop from one subject to the next. A blog with a comedic focus, for example, has complete freedom in terms of subject matter, but it would be stupid for such a blog to turn the humor on and off. In this case, the element of comedy will be the content's glue, the blog's strength. The benefit of keeping on point and on theme is that, with the existence of the Internet, you will inevitably meet others who are involved.

2.) Make sure the material is up to date.

Make a plan for yourself and keep to it. Recognize that blogging takes time and commitment, and don't set high goals that you won't be able to meet. An occasional lapse or vacation is understandable, but readers who return to see outdated, out-of-date material will seek out another blog with similar content. On a regular basis, new blogs and RSS feeds appear. You don't want to risk an audience or a culture you've worked hard to build due to a lack of contact.

Remember, what's old isn't modern, and therefore isn't interesting for articles. This isn't the year to slam Enron or Vanilla Ice. In the case of yesterday's reporting, insight is irrelevant.

3.) It's Important to Use Clear Language.

Blessed is the blog that follows a logical route. Write without inside jokes, catchphrases from a clique, or fuzzy logic. Readers who are reading for the first time should be close to your post. They are most likely to return to posts that have a positive impact on them. There will be no second read if the first is misleading.

4.) Provide food for the spiders.

Active blogs are seen by search engines, and blog search engines are very responsive to behaviour. At the very least, today's search engines are better than yesterday's, and they're just getting smarter. They are continually evolving in order to aggregate quality; high-quality blogs are updated many days a week, if not regularly, as opposed to low-quality blogs.
