10 COVID-19 Patients recover in Odisha.

Bhubaneswar: As many as 10 COVID-19 patients, Friday tested negative for coronavirus, Health and Family Welfare Department said.

 

These patients belong to Bhubaneswar, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jajpur, and Puri, the department added.

 

Very happy to share that another 10 COVID patients have RECOVERED and tested negative for COVID-19. Five are of Bhubaneswar, two of Bhadrak and one each of Cuttack, Jajpur, and Puri. Congratulations to the doctors and others who treated them,' tweeted Health and Family Welfare department tweeted.

 

According to the official data, 48 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in the state as of Friday night.

 

Two persons out of these had already been discharged after testing negative. One other has died of it. With ten more people testing negative Friday, the number of active COVID-19 cases has dropped to 35.

 

Ten more patients cured of Coronavirus in Odisha:-

Ten more patients have been cured of Coronavirus in Odisha, said the Health Department on Friday.

 

Earlier, two COVID patients had been declared as disease-free and discharged from hospitals.

 

Out of the ten patients, five are of Bhubaneswar, two of Bhadrak and one each of Cuttack, Jajpur, and Puri.

Coronavirus: India's total tally stands at 6,761; 515 recovered:-

New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, on Thursday, said a total of 6,761 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus had been reported so far in the country.

 

Of this, 6,039 are active cases of a novel coronavirus, and 206 fatalities have been reported to date.

 

The Health Ministry also said that a total of 515 people have recovered and discharged from the hospital, and one person has migrated to another country.

 

Addressing the daily press conference, Joint Secretary, Health, Lav Agarwal said: "A total of 678 new cases and 33 deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported in the last 24 hours."

 

The total number includes 71 foreign nationals, the Ministry said.

 

Maharashtra continued to report the most number of cases, at least 1,364, while there are 898 cases in the national capital. Tamil Nadu has reported 834 cases of Covid-19 so far, and Telangana has 473 cases. Kerala reported 357 cases and Uttar Pradesh 431. The number of instances in Rajasthan spiked up to 463, to 363 in Andhra Pradesh, to 241 in Gujarat, and 259 in Madhya Pradesh.

 

Other states and UTs that have reported cases are West Bengal (116), Punjab (132), Karnataka (197), Jammu and Kashmir (184), Haryana (169), Bihar (60), Assam (29), Himachal Pradesh (28), Odisha (44), Uttarakhand (35), Andaman and Nicobar Islands (11), Arunachal Pradesh (1), Chandigarh (18), Chhattisgarh (10), Goa (7), Jharkhand (13), Ladakh (15), Manipur (1), Mizoram (1), Puducherry (5), and Tripura (1).

Coronavirus: 6 unique regions of Delhi declared containment zone

 

The Delhi government on Friday declared six more areas of the city as containment zone, taking the total numbers to 30 in the national capital amid coronavirus outbreak in the country.

 

Six new 'containment zones' includes, Nabi Karim, E pocket GTB enclave, street no 18 to 22 of Zakir Nagar and nearby area of Abu Bakar Masjid, Zakir Nagar, informed Delhi government.

 

"Number of 'containment zones' in Delhi raises to 30 with the addition of 6 new areas," read the statement.
