WHY WE SHOULD NOT EAT RICE DURING FEVER?

Different types of fever and the role of rice in it:

 

Malaria fever:

A person suffering from this fever has to face problems like cold, tremors, dehydration, and drowsiness. Malaria fever is caused by the bite of a female mosquito, which causes an increase in body temperature due to illness. And in such a situation we should always prefer high-calorie foods. Their diet should include drinks like sugar cane juice, electrolyte water so that they do not feel weak. Malaria fever usually affects your liver, kidneys, and digestive system. Sometimes, the presence of proteins as well as carbohydrates makes it easier to make new cells. The malaria patient should be given soup, fish, eggs, vitamin B complex, milk, rice water, etc.

Fever due to cold:

Fever can have many causes, and when we catch a cold, the body temperature starts to rise automatically, and special care should be taken of the body in this condition. Rice has cooling properties, so the patient should be given freshly made rice instead of kava or stale rice out of the refrigerator. Sometimes, carbohydrates and sugars in the body promote bacteria, so doctors recommend not eating it, especially at night. But it rarely happens when doctors recommend not eating it. But given our immunity and the climate in which we live, we recommend not eating it. Therefore, doctors recommend avoiding rice, yogurt, spicy foods, bananas, etc. in any throat infection with a cold.

Seasonal fever:

We know by now that fever is not a disease in itself, it is usually the result of an infection, which causes our body temperature to rise rapidly. Eat easily digestible food during any fever. Increasing body temperature can also lead to dehydration. Therefore, edible foods such as coconut water, soups, juices, porridge, should be given as much liquid as possible. In seasonal fever, one should avoid oily and spicy foods, and they can quickly eat rice. Usually, doctors first analyze the cause of your illness, and sometimes they tell you to avoid certain eating habits.

Typhoid fever:

It is a bacterial disease, the bacteria of which is known as 'Salmonella typhi.' This is mainly caused by the ingestion of infected food or water. Bacteria begin to increase after entering the body. If not treated promptly, a person can suffer for many months and become very serious. During typhoid fever, one should drink clean and boiled water. Street food, raw vegetables, spicy foods, oils as well as canned foods should be avoided. Apart from this, all kinds of easily digested foods can be eaten, especially rice and porridge.

Jaundice fever:

It is a disease in which red blood cells are damaged, causing the patient's body to turn pale yellow. This yellow substance is bilirubin, which is released when red blood cells are broken down. During jaundice, our liver is most affected, and it is an essential part of our body, which stimulates digestion in particular. So, when the central part of your body, which is primarily called the body's energy mine, begins to do the same damage, the patient should start consuming a lot of fluids and eating a nutritious diet. This is the best way to fight jaundice. The patient can eat citrus fruits, sugarcane juice, tomatoes, rice, cucumber, etc. Try to avoid foods high in sugar and calories. Stay away from canned foods, alcohol, cheese, and dairy products. But there are no restrictions on rice.

Fever can have many other causes such as pneumonia, chickenpox, chickenpox, any urinary tract infection, etc. And it is not necessary to avoid rice in every disease. Sometimes they refuse to eat it because of some health problems. But there is no rule like just not eating it in a fever.
