Which states of India eat a good amount of healthy foods?

People of the country must remain healthy because their efforts are very essential for the growth of the country. 

We all know that a healthy person shows a healthy country. For good health, healthy foods are very essential. 

The Ministry of health and family welfare published a report about the country's nutrition named 'Comprehensive National Nutrition Survey'.

This survey was conducted to determine deficiencies in people of different states of different age groups.

The survey mainly collected the information of age group 2-4, 5-9, 10-19 years.

This report also shows which category of age group eats, what amount of different healthy foods in different states of India. 

This data is very helpful for the determination of the causes of different diseases in different states.  

This survey helps to know, who has a deficiency of vitamin A? who has a deficiency of vitamin D? who has iron deficiency? 

 

After answering these questions, this report shows the list of different categories of healthy food eaten by different age groups of different states. 

The report helps us to know which state eats healthy food and in good amount, to make our diet balanced. 

Now, I am going to compare different states with different age groups with different types of healthy foods.

 

Healthy food groups

1. Milk and curd 

Milk is multivitamin, we all know about it. It is not only essential for growing children even good for all age groups. Curd has also the same role as milk. It is also good for each age group. These dairy products are a good source of protein.

2. Pulses or beans 

Pulses or beans are also important to take into your regular diet. It is a good source of protein for vegetarians. There are many types of pulses available in the market. Each has a different shape and size, also different in taste.

You easily identified that Tamil Nadu is at the top, then comes Odisha, then Maharashtra. While Mizoram, Meghalaya, and Sikkim are at the bottom of the chart.

3. Green leafy vegetables

This is a food category, which does not like many of the children. But, green leafy vegetables are very beneficial for your health. 

It is full of vitamins, fiber, and low calories. Eating green leafy vegetables reduces the chance of obesity. It also reduces high blood pressure.

According to the chart Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Odisha are at the top. While Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, and Tripura are at the bottom.

4. Meat

Meat is a very good source of protein. A small amount of meat will give you a very good amount of protein. 

But, there are lots of vegetarians in India. For a good amount of protein, more amount of other protein-providing foods are necessary for vegetarians.

The chart providing us that Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu are at the top. While Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, and Punjab are at the bottom.

These are those vegetables that grow under the ground like potato, carrot, etc.

Conclusion

All the above data does the percentage of different types of food groups taken by the different states of different age groups.

First, understand if your state in any case at the bottom then it does not mean your diet, not complete your requirements. It also happens you eat other healthy food in a good amount to complete the same requirements. So, don't necessarily panic.

But, it is very essential to compare all the above details and find, Is your regular diet balanced? is it fulfill your all requirements?
